Yes, it is simple enough to do, but Mulligan the only guy on it. Contacting people in London to see how they feel about Deng playing in the Olympics and to sum it up. People dont care. While Deng is known, Kobe and Lebron are much more popular.

So this debt that Lu feels towards the people of England, basically is all on him. They dont really care if he plays or not. It's just not really a care for the country, this is 100% on Luol.

Who did he contact in London? I'm assuming tens of thousands of people minimum, since he apparently got an accurate portray of the whole country's opinion on Deng playing in the Olympics.

It's just an excuse for Mully to talk about England.

Enemies, Mully? You been talking about the Queen again? During Cubs/Sox week?

Mully breaking the "Luol Deng is not more popular than Lebron and Kobe" story is pretty impressive.

Its about, Luol, nothing more.

The buzz is because he has worked so hard to get Hoops into England. Its not a buzz among the people, it's his own thing.

When the Editor of the paper writes them back in an email explaining that no buzz exists, good enough for me that it is not really an issue.

Oh, England has never made the Olympics in Basketball, do you really think you need to survey the people of people to figure out that no buzz exists?

Maybe Luol should try to get hoops in Sudan.

Bulls need to make a donation to his Program in London. It is not why Luol is doing this, but need to do something.

It was more like, "my brother live in England. There is no buzz about basketball, blah blah"

This is what you are touting, bigfan? Nobody gives a shit. Why waste airtime with it?

Some reporter from the Daily Telegraph or something. The guy was basically unaware that Deng felt this debt.

That led to Mulligan talking about his gay love man crush of Man U winger Ryan Giggs...and led me to PTFB...I fucking hate Manchester United.

If I wasn't driving at the time, I was going to send in a text to that effect, or something.

Is Ben Gordan going to play in the Olympics for England? He was born there wasn't he?

You could've easily Googled this, thus eliminating the need for this post.

http://basketball.about.com/od/internationalbasketball/ss/Scouting-The-2012-Olympic-Mens-Basketball-Tournament_3.htm

Great Britain was given an automatic berth in the 2012 Olympic Basketball Tournament as host nation, but they had to fight for it. FIBA, basketball's governing body, required that the British team prove it can be competitive at the top levels of international competition first.

That seemed a reasonable request, as Britian hadn't qualified for an Olympic basketball tournament since 1948.

The player that drove much of Britain's improvement was Chicago Bulls small forward Luol Deng. Deng has roots in England, having moved there from his native Sudan as a child, and played for England's under-16 and under-19 national teams. With Deng leading the way, Britain moved up into the "A" level of EuroBasket competition. In March 2011, FIBA ruled that Britain would be given the traditional host nation berth.

I haven't listened to much M&H since Mully's vacation, although I briefly caught 5 minutes one morning this week. It's seemed a discussion in which they had all the answers but pretended otherwise.
