tomorrow at 8 a.m.

should be interesting to hear what this dumb fuck has to say, assuming mulligan can ask the questions we all want to hear and not soft ball bitch questions. too bad rosenbloom could not be the interviewer.

THIS is why the Score needs Mike North. Mully & Hanley will be like two WGN ass kissers.

It would be more like;

Ricketts; Hey guys!

Mully; Hey Tom! Great to have you on! Listen, there is this election thing coming up. And again, you get to vote for whatever you want to vote for, but your Dad has got this whole thing with the 'SMEAR OBAMA' campaign and everything. And meanwhile, you've got Wrigley Field, which needs some bigtime repairs. Yet you have Rahm Emmanuel who wants to renovate Wrigley Field, but likes Obama clearly since he used to work there, and since your Dad doesn't, and you need the money....what about all of that? I mean, again, what do you with that?

If only Bernstein were giving the interview, Ricketts would have no where to run, no where to hide from BernstInes tough and hard hitting journalistic style. Straight outta' Duke, for real. But as Danny B. says, "He doesn't want to be interviewed by us!", no sir! And he's right on all counts...Danny would eat him alive and end his reign of terror on Chicago. Great job by Danny B. and Da' Boyz!

I will agree with you on this one.

You know the owner is coming with an agenda and this is a favor to him. You put it in the pocket for a rainy day. Simple.

And Dan would ask the right questions that most media in this city would never have the collective sack to voice.

and Mitch agreed to not put Ricketts on the hotseat.

Would have liked to see Drinky been contacted by the Cubs and let him do the interview.

So did Mully & Hanley act real polite (WGN style) or did they ask some tough questions?

I so badly wanted to use that Pat Summerall quote, but I could only remember the "and get out of there" part. Brilliant minds, spmack.

only caught the last 10-12 minutes of it...yes ...easy questions that ricketts had seen beforehand ...ricketts is just not a smart guy and an he is an awful public speaker...he really just needs to stop talking and hire a spokesman.

I fail to see why this is even an issue. The Sox got their stadium financed by the state and the Cubs stadium makes a lot more money for the city than the Sox one does. It shouldn't matter whether the owner votes for Romney or Ron Paul. Just because the city is full of corrupt Democrats doesn't mean this deal can't or shouldn't get done.

For clarity's sake, where exactly does a Mini Ditka come down on massive public financing for private entity's project?

I have no issue with the Cubs taking public money. My impression is that is a loan and not a grant. The city makes a lot of money on Wrigley Field in taxes with 1 to 3 million people going to games every year. So it's not as if this is a completely private deal as it affects a number of businesses in the area.

Should the state finance all the bars in Wrigleyville too? What about all the stores on Michigan avenue?

If the Cubs were willing to sell Wrigley Field to the city they could have all the money they wanted.

More people than that go to Michigan Avenue every year. Let's publicly finance all those private businesses too!
