That will go well with Mully's hate of Cutler

Of the list of 13 folks they interviewed, which one did you want GD? That list was unimpressive, no proven guys on it.

I've listened to most of the show. Still waiting to hear Hanley give an opinion. Mully said he would be fine with Singletary as coach, so take his opinion for what it is worth...

Thats cuz Trestman smacked Mully like the bitch he is after Mully asked a rambling 90 second question that ended up being rather pointless.

Mully is the ultimate tough guy wanna be. Played college rugby and likes to challenge little guys to fights.

So obviously Trestman is not going to be his kind of guy.

He said that last week when Singletary interviewed. He said you could do a lot worse than Singletary.

I would have gone with Arians. Who is proven as both an offensive cooridnator and head coach.

Does 12 games prove you make a good head coach?

No, but neither would 100 when you really think about it. He coached well under adverse circumstances and has a nice track record in the league. He is also 60 and was never hired as a HC.

Lovie had 9 years as a Head Coach, but obviously most of the league isn't interested in him. I think Trestman will have a rough first year because Cutler will revert to his form under Ron Turner with a lot of INT's. After watching Cutler,he has no "touch" when it comes to the short game. This will piss Trestman off and he just might make a QB change after 4 or 5 games.

I was leaning towards Arians, but what I've heard from Trestman so far has been good.

I think you may be right. I wonder who the backup will be.

You could do worse than Singletary, but it would require going out of your way to prove it, like Steve Spagnuolo or Josh McDaniels.

I did agree with Mully's point about Trestman. After his Bears interview, he said he interviewed for the Raiders OC job which tells you how desperate he was to get back in the league. Mully said why not hire Arians as HC and Trestman as OC.

or keep Lovie on the last year of a contract and let Trestman OC while proving himself here.

I don't think, short of a playoff run, that Emery was going to keep Lovie. Seemed to be very eager to get his own guy.

Keeping Lovie for one year was an awful decision. Just retarded the progress of what Emery wants to do.

Also, I dont think McClellan gets picked if Lovie was gone.

I don't see how McClellan fits into what Lovie wants to run. That was an Emery pick.

Which begs the question, what system does Emery want to run? Not a 3-4, which most people argue is the only scheme McClellan can excel in.
