I don't take enough PRIDE in my posts to do a proper SHARKian rundown, but I'm proud to say that Mully has already mentioned THE BIGGEST STORY IN SPORTS, Sir (Larry) Alex Ferguson stepping down from his post @ United. It's funny to hear him bring it up with a little bit of jest (i.e. OMFG THIS IS THE BIGGEST SPORTS STORY IN THE WORLD!!!) and Hanley quickly jumps in to mock soccer, yet when it became obvious that Mully is actually playing it straight with this one Hanley is quick to back it up and stop the joking around.... Mully is totally driving this show this morning, so I'm looking forward to some quips that register at least 3 Hanleys on the scale.

So yeah, there's no ReVolution going on to take your attention away from THE NUMBER ONE SPORTS MORNING SHOW IN CHICAGO/LAND, so won't you take my hand and join me for a morning of ADVENTURE as we embark on a journey that includes a fun romp with the Joakim Noah "shut the hell up [BLEEP]" quotes re: derrick rose.

(mully) Q: Who's that swearing in the background to earn the bleep?
(hanley) A: REGGIE. (waits for a chuckle, none comes)

This show is awesome. Listen.... or, well, there is no other choice. Listen.

"There's a 99% chance that Derrick suits up for tonight's game.... Unfortunately, there's a 95% chance that it involves a tie"

if this were the jim rome show, Mully would be racked for that moment of smackdown excellence.

Dustin Rhodes' high pitched voice really comes in proper over the radio. He's plenty outspoken that Kyle Long is a FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICK and therefore a PROFESSIONAL football player and therefore because the NFL/NCAA has a rule that draftees can't attend OTAs b4 their finals are done, welp, he should drop out of school and report to his job.

It's obvious that he's their whipping boy, so move over brian paruch. This Dustin Rhodes kid is going places...

LOL, they're reading texts that say "your producer is an idiot" and pointing out that it's multiple texts. Well played, callers, well played. See, "idiot" rhodes hasn't thought about the whole "what if they blow out their knee and they don't have that degree to fall back on?" thing, but he scoffed and pointed out that Kyle Long is a card-carrying member of the Lucky Sperm Club so in case of emergency Dad/Mom/Brother can get him an apartment in vegas with all of the other LSC kiddies.

...so it turns out that, believe it or not, i'm all alone in my patronage of this fine fine radio show. of course, ~15 minutes after i made the thread and posted those updates the show lost me to youtube (having upgraded my router's firmware i'm FINALLY able to play youtube vids at home, which is HUGE </jimrome> cuz like, that's one of the greatest inventions in human communications/media history) and then bubba the love sponge, who spent a long segment or two talking about the internet's latest favorite balck guy in the proud lineage of bubb rubb and antoinne dodson: charles ramsey (you know, the guy that bernstein brought up yesterday because LOL DUDE OMFG THAT BALCK DUDE IS SOOOO COOL!!! LOOK AT HIM!!! HE'S A NATURAL WITH HIS RHETORIC!!!!)

peep out autotune the news' proper version of the now-famous interview called dead giveaway --- masterful, just like the bed intruder song.... prolly not quite as catchy cuz "hide your kids hide your wife hide your husband THEY RAPING ERRRRYBODY OUT HERE" is just a perfect hook, but like, yeah. c'est la vie.

THIS IS NOW A BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE LISTENING THREAD. i'll be sure to update it for my glorious army of nobidies as the action happens.

yeah man, phil rogers tried to talk up save sappelt when he was on.... i was stopping in a dunkin donuts to grab a free turkey sausage breakfast sandwich (it's a sausage mcmuffin with egg with slightly tastier meat. thank you chi trib sticky coupon) when i did a spit-take cuz phil was fucking talking up dave sappelt.... again!

i dropped his twitter tweet from late 2011 when the marshall trade went down and he said that sappelt and other dude "weren't scout or numbers guys.... they're baseball players" and like, phil was exalting the marshall trade saying that we got travis wood (who he didn't even mention in 2011) and then he was like "AND WE GOT SAPPELT FROM THAT TRADE!!!! but he hasn't quite lived up to expectations *YET* and blah blah blah.

what a clown.... speaking of, has anyone heard from Don Tiny lately? or did he ragequit the board at some time? when i used the "tiny" size text i realized we haven't heard from DT in awhile

you know, thinking it over, methinks phil rogers places some value in the replacement player... so it's VORP, except it's value OF the replacement player, not OVER the replacement player.

i.e. if you have a guy who's given you ~50 games in CF, even at a .208/.256/.278 avg/obp/slg split line, well then, he still played 50 games for you in centerfield! professional baseball players don't grow on trees.... good trade hendry!
