Some good ones this AM.

Only the second time Marmol has blown a three-run lead and the Cubs lost!
Sveum is a strategic genius and will be here for the long haul.
Rizzo's struggles are normal for a young player.
Castro is just fine, just needs to make more solid contact. Jedtheo loves him!!

The Marmol point is bad.

Did he give an example of a strategic move for the genius? Not buying that one. I agree with the poster that said he is here babysitting until the team is ready to be good.

The points on Rizzo and Castro are right on the money.

He said to even get the job Jedtheo ran him through rigorous strategy simulations.

I dont think they love Castro

I do think its a little pre mature to panic about Castro and even moreso Rizzo

So how many major league ABs in combination with age do we need in order to make a fair assessment of what kind of career a guy is going to have?

What if I said Viciedo is going to be the next Jim Rice...just you wait and see. He's young yet.

You'd rightly say I was nuts.

Castro still needs to play better defense.

This sounds more like something Phil Rogers or Paul Sullivan would write/say

I'm kinda getting too close to 'done' with Castro for comfort.

I still expect Rizzo will be fine.
