http://chicagoradioandmedia.com/news/6101-talkers-magazine-names-2013-heavy-hundred-sports-talkers-including-chicago-radio-stars The highest ranking Chicago personalities on this newly-released list were WSCR-AM/670 The Score's morning show hosts Mike Mulligan and Brian Hanley. This corrects the biggest issue fans nationwide had with last year's "Heavy Hundred of Sports Talk," which shocking omitted the #1 rated sports talk show in radio market #3. The next highest Chicago radio personalities on the list were WSCR-AM's afternoon team of Terry Boers and Dan Bernstein, who were ranked at #19. In 2012, they were ranked at #16. WVMP-AM/ESPN 1000's midday team, Carmen DeFalco and John "Jurko" Jukovic were ranked #24 for 2013. Last year, the duo, then a trio along with Harry Teinowitz and working the afternoon shift, was ranked at #23. Dan McNeil and Matt Spiegel, WSCR-AM's midday team, was ranked at #40. This was a slight increase for them, as they were ranked at #43 last year. At #58, the same ranking they held last year, was WMVP-AM's Tom Waddle and Marc Silverman. Last year, the two men hosted the late morning/midday show, while this year they were promoted up to afternoons. No other local Chicago sports talk hosts were included on the list. Notable omissions include WGN-AM's David Kaplan, despite his show's strong ratings and his radio station's huge reach across the Midwest. In fact, no local nighttime or weekend hosts from WSCR-AM, WVMP-AM, WGN-AM, or any other station gained a mention on this year's list. |

Czaban and Cooley and #96 can't be right. I haven't heard their show together but Czaban by himself was a top 10 personality. |

No North? I find it hard to believe they can find 100 of these shows to rank. I am too lazy to look. Where did the detestable "Moose and Maggie" come in? |

I would take Czaban over any of the rest. That list has some of the worst promo photos I have ever seen. Looks like the meth bust mug shot parade. No. 92 has a toupe for the ages. |

I am actually kinda curious why he is called "Hacksaw" Sounds like kinda a wild man... From Wikipedia: Hamilton is best known for his pet phrases: "Show me your lightning bolt!", and "I am bleeping brilliant!" and, "You use the line or you lose the line," his argumentative attitude toward some callers, and "I've won awards, I have a national reputation, i've built a sportstalk empire". Nationally syndicated sports talk host Jim Rome used to broadcast on the same station as Hamilton, and often imitates him saying "React to me!", "Show me your lightning bolt!", and "Good night now!" on The Jim Rome Show. |

So Mully and Hanley went from not being in the top 100 at all, to being higher than #19? Wow, that's some kind of improvement. Quote: Notable omissions include WGN-AM's David Kaplan mmm no, no, that's not an omission. No Leery, huh? |

John and Ken are sort of like LA's Roe and Garry, if Garry were a barely closeted homosexual. Afternoon drive on the big conservative talk station in the market, hard-right guys who say they're "libertarians" or "social moderates" or "more than just political talk" to distinguish themselves from confirmed troglodytes like Rush and Hannity, but at the end of the day just make their millions telling middle-aged white dudes from Orange County that This Has Gone Too Far And It's Time To Do Something About It, whatever "This" and "It" happen to be this ratings cycle: Scott Peterson, immigrants, taxes, Kardashians, etc. David Foster Wallace wrote about them in passing when he covered John Ziegler, who turned out to be one hundred times the piece of crap that DFW made him out to be. |

czaban is screwed on that list. being below dibble and van dyken is a travesty in and of itself. they shouldn't even be on the list period. |
