Does anyone know who sings the bears fight song at the closing of the Mully and Hanley show? It begins with the unknown person saying something like "I said if the bears won, I'd do it up here. I didn't expect them to win, but I'm glad they did". The clip ends with them singing the song.

I have searched for this a couple times on the internet and haven't found anything definitive.

Thanks for your help.

It was Les Grobstein singing the song after The Bears beat The Packers in Green Bay earlier this year.

I was disappointed when I got a notification that Les Grobstein started following me on Twitter, only to find out it was a fake.

Put up with a fight with a might so fearlessly.

How stupid are Mully and Hanley to play that every morning? Really? Do they giggle off-air every time they hear it? It was funny when Les did it live, but, to spend a minute and a half, every single bloody morning, replaying it again and again is.... stupid.

For the longest time, their close was something about some "bitch". "Bitch better bounce out" or something. That's a really classy thing to hear every morning when I'm brushing my teeth, my wife walks in, and my 6-year old is there too. Really classy there.

Then they changed that so they could report that Aaron Rodgers is guilty of murder every morning. Yeah that's really a funny thing.

Now this.

But this is all quite symbolic of the entire show, so, there is that.

Yeah, the Grobber thing needs to end. It's horrible.

Sorry Grobber.

Same could be said for the B&B Bill Walton stuff IMHO. I think most of that stuff wears out its welcome within a couple weeks.

if all score producers tried as hard as tannahill does, it would be better radio

Fixed, and no need to be sorry.

Years ago, one of the hosts (maybe Murph?) had a contest to see who could best modify the Bears fight song. The one that stood out to me was the guy who referenced the 1985 team:

"We'll never forget the way you thrilled the nation,
With re-frig-er-a-tion..."

Ever since then I've been cursed...whenever I hear the song I think of that version.

Had the show on this morning during "Big Doug". They started playing some loud obnoxious music and I shut it off. Mully needs to go....SOON! Everything has to be loud?
