2 minutes of radio gold this morning calling out DB for his cruel, misplaced intellectual snobbery re: Hester. Some guy called in saying Hester was dumb and Mulli went apeshit on him. His voice was cracking. I sensed a single tear.

That doesn't answer my question.

Have a nice day.

Maybe like 8:15. A lot of Hester talk. Greg Gabriel either implied or agreed that Cutler played a big part in the Hester divestment. Field position has suffered, etc. Caller says that Hester couldn't find Lake Forest with a GPS. Mulli asks where he got that idea. Guy says, your afternoon host. And then it escalated. Mulli said that Hester knew of all of this talk and was so embarrassed he didn't want to go out in public.

That answers my question.

Thank you.

so now we find out that Hester knew the Martz playbook like the back of his hand but due to Bernsie's ridicule, he was unable to perform on game day.

His point was lost in his hyperbolic reaction. It was no less as embarrassing as when Bernstein loses his shit over a dumb caller.

You've got a slate of half-assed children presenting radio 24 hours a day on a major market high power AM station. At least when WLS did it 40 years ago it was entertaining and somewhat counter-culture.

It would be the worst verbal argument ever.

M; Uh, so uh, you know, BERNSIE, I mean, you know, we have always kind of had a working relationship. I mean, we never got off on the wrong foot or anything, but I know we don't go out to dinner or for a drink either, and uh...

B; IT DOESN'T MATTER!

M; Well, uh, actually, it does kind of matter since we work AT THE SAME RADIO STATION covering the same teams! So, back to the original question, I mean, uh, what do you, what do you, what do YOU think is the real problem between us? Is it because I have been here longer, or because I have better ratings, or because you hate Bonnie Green? I mean whats going on, whats up with that? What can I do to make things better?

B; No. Just stop. Really. Just stop right now. None of this matters. None.Of.This.Matters. And if you think otherwise than you are just a fool.

And so on...

Well, it was hyperbolic but I don't think the point was lost.

1) Wonderlic scores are irrelevant (at least to Hester).
2) Hester's inability to articulate why he is so good is irrelevant.
3) Bernstein's "intellectual snobbery" amounts to needlessly cruel trolling that legitimately hurt Hester.
4) Bernstein is a coward.

Bernstein's outrage is faux; I don't think Mulli's was.

Your right on both counts; both ends of the spectrum, though, were equally distasteful in their own ways and just made both come off as petulant children who were preemptively angry that anyone would question their take on the matter.

Heard it and Mully was right on. Not that I can verify Hester became a hermit.

Meh. He went to a major university. If cared about not being/sounding like an idiot he could have done something about it.

Of course Cutler wanted him gone. Makes him look better when he's only throwing it 6 inches over the heads of Marshall and Jeffrey rather than a foot over Hester's.
