My favorit C&C skit is Stoner in Court . . .

Ladies and gentleman of the jury. Your honor.

Now, it might seem suspicious that at the time of his arrest my client was found with 22 pounds of marijuan; 10,000 LSD capsules; and a gallon of rippled wine.

To the leyman on the street, this may seem suspicious.

But there is an excuse your honor. There is an explanation.

It seems that my client had merely found these drugs and was on his way to the police station to turn them in at the time of his arrest.

Now, we're not saying that my client is an angel. We admit, openly that on 2 occasions he has smoked marijuana. And on one occasion taken LSD. Of course it was under the clinical supervision of a doctor.

Now what we'd like you to do tonight, ladies and gentleman, is to look inside your hearts. To examine your own consciousness and remember this . . . Judge not and Ye shall not be judged.

Dear Mac:

I have derived much pleasure from your hours on the air. I can't begin to understand the static between you and current masters at ESPN1000. Do know, however, that you have brought more than a moment or two of pleasure or laughter to at least one listener. All best,

Tim

"Beardown"]Mac, Carm said you'd be back next week. From your "hope to have your ears again some time down the road" it seems you're not sure when you'll be back on the air.

Is that ESPN 1000 bullshiting us or is that you being unsure if you are coming back?

Next week doesn't equate to MONDAY, according to Greenstein's column from awhile ago:

Dan McNeil, who drives WMVP-AM's franchise show, has been suspended until July 25.

So I guess that means he's back the middle of next week, in time for the open of Bears Camp (how convenient) and the Real Time Sports remote. ...or is it an 'event'?

Mac,
Let us know when you are returning. Until then the show is dead to me. I like Jurko, but Horseshit Harry whining all day, is well, I'd rather not.
Simplistic bullshit from him is the story of the day.
Hey, when you come back, fire his stupid dumbass. Or if you leave, leave him behind. You seem to be the only one I know who gets a laugh out of listening to the piece of crap.

There, now if feel better. :P

I like the show overall, but when Mac's not there, it seems that there is A LOT of talking over each other (no matter who's driving).

There is tons of talking over each other but that's not the worst part. When Mac isn't there, it's like the caged animal in Harry gets released and he just goes nuts on these idiotic, unfunny ramblings. Yesterday and today he wouldn't stop talking about how Sweet Lou is "the best manager of all time". He just kept going and going and going and there was nothing JD or Jurko could do to stop it. I just couldn't handle listening to it anymore and had to turn to B&B. When Mac's there he is completely tolerable to me but he ruins any chance the show has to be even average when Mac is away.

Harry does need somebody to reel him in. Mac does a good job.

For the most part, I like Harry. Some of this show's success can be attributed to him.

However, it is shocking to me after all these years in radio he does not understand what an audience wants to listen to and what they do not. It's as if he goes overboard with everything when Mac is not there just because he can. It was like that time in 8th grade when my parents went out of town and I threw a party, except I was 13 and Harry is in his 40's.

Harry's playing the role of the desperate, everything is great, I love all the players and coaches Cubs fan. But it's just a role he's playing. It's so contrvied and stupid. Even Cubs fans hate that shit.

He acts like a 10 year old when he does that crap. Nobody respects that act.

I wont attack the other guys, in fact Jurko's return was met with much glee.
Mac.....you need to come back. As soon as possible. The show is not the same without you. Personally I would rather see JD driving instead of Carm, but hey.

If you listened to any of his years before MJH you understand that he was on the fringe of the business doing self indulgent radio. He has stuck around because, as a trust fund baby, he could afford next to no salary in return for being able to tell his family he is in the entertainment industry. Harry is a failed actor, a failed comedian and was well on his way to being a failed radio host. He was forced on MJ by management simply because they were already paying him from a previous contract. He has been riding coat tails ever since.

Jurko shows a lot more energy when Mac is on hiatus. ...and Harry has a lot more hair brained ideas - such as that Nocioni interview/trainwreck.

I also think Carm is getting more comfortable sitting in, because he's been doing it so much this month.

Jesus Christ, Mac. By the sound of it, I would be getting myself suspended left and right if I were you. Fishing, golf and roller coasters?

I am in the wrong line of work.

Well I can (and do) criticize people for what they do at work all day long...unfortunately, I do not get paid for it.

Must be nice indeed. I know that if I were out on unpaid hiatus, I'd be shitting canaries wondering what was going to happen next and how was I going to pay the bills.

I feel for Mac

Went on a similar binge the last month, Vegas (twice) , fishing, boating, Summerfest, only to be broken up by Cubs games.

One day I gotta work . It's tough

You guys should be encouraging Mac not to come back on the air with MVP. The shitfest with Harry talking is "must miss radio" and has to be good for you guys. Harry provides no competition, even for high school radio. You should do your best to keep him on the air, leading the talk.
