You're in my prayers Grid. It was great that you got to spend some time with him though.

Grid, like you said, it's good that he didn't suffer too long. And take it as a blessing that all of you got to say goodbye. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Just remember to stay strong for your mom and the rest of your family. I may be wrong in saying this since I don't know if you have an older brother, but you are now the man of the family, and by what you've told us about your father, they are some awfully big shoes to fill.

Damn - I'm sorry Grid - I was hoping and praying that there would be better news.

But rest comfortably, if possible, in knowing that you got those minutes to tell him exactly how you felt and he how he felt about you and yours. Those are precious moments and you will cherish them forever.

My prayers go out to you and your family and I got choked up as I read the poem that your son recited. From the mouth of babes to our ears - priceless moments.

Hang in there...

Well, as this shitty year crawls to it's conclusion, I just wanted to thank all of you 'pants-less cretins' on the message board for helping me through one fucked up year.

Even though I haven't personally met all of you, I feel we have a kinship and a cyber-bond through this message board.

From my family to your's: God bless all of you and have a happy and safe holiday break.
(pictured below, clockwise from left): Max, Taylor, Zak and my lil buddy Scrappy).

ciao

Sorry. I really thought that was his wife. I was trying to be nice. I'll never do that again.

Gridiron, this is likely one of the single greatest christmas cards I have seen in the history of christmas card giving. The usage of your kids and a gingerbread house is the stuff of legends. Not to mention the other single greatest christmas cards I ever have seen this year.

Thanks Puckhead - the holiday cards are a team effort between Mrs. Grid and me.

I give her the concept, she does the card.

She's still three years late with the card showing the Land of the Misfit Kids, and our dog blown up as the Abominable Snow Dog.

I was going through my Jon Gruden phase. In all seriousness though, it is a cool card.
