Deep, your thoughts about drafting Greg Olsen in the first round of my fantasy draft. I'll hang up and listen for my answer.

alright...

so, if the general thought is RB and RB the first two rounds, is Moss gone before round 3 this year?

A question designed to help out Nas in his fantasy league.

Is the first round too early to draft Rex Grossman?
Is the second round too early to draft Culpepper?

IN reply to Doug, I am not always a RB, RB guy and can explain that later and not sure I would touch Moss until 4th round. Do I think he will put up some good numbers? Of course but not the kind of numbers you are thinking. Brady is the best at spreading the ball around and that will limit the number of catches and yards for Moss, I do think he will be the #1 Red zone target for NE so if your league is built heavy on TD's end of 3rd is good value, other wise I would wait till middle or late 4th round

The player that will benefit the most from the Moss acquisition is Ben Watson. Last season Watson was big disappointment but with Moss at WR and the loss of D. Graham not only will Watson see more time at TE but with Moss lined up on the outside that should open up the middle of the field nicely for Big Ben Watson

sweet....thanks.
i wanted (projected-in my draft, anyway) ben watson last year but he was picked right before me. i ended up with vernon davis and sucked at TE all year b/c of it.

DEEP analysis. I could not have found that kind of acumen anywhere else.

Why is the show on Thursday? Oftentimes, key information about players does not come out until Saturday. I have a feeling you will have to qualify any of your Thursday recommendations with "check the injury report".

I'm not any good at NFL trivia, but I think Donte Stallworth might benefit as well.

Stallworth is a nice player and for my #2 WR I don't want nice players I want WR's with much larger upside than Stallworth. He will be over valued in most drafts and right now is being picked 75th overall in front of guys like Chris Chambers, Brylon Edwards and Deion Branch. Let someone else take a flyer on him and be disappointed.....

After your live appearance on Jurko vs. Harry I would say that you don't know much about Football trivia is an understatement

I cannot imagine needing to call a show in order to figure out who to start. It kind of defeats the purpose of why I would join a fantasy league.
I may look for some opinions on draft day, but after that, my knowledge is as good as the "experts".

You want to brag about Colston after week 1. I DRAFTED him in a yahoo league because they were allowing to be played both as a WR or TE. I figured he should do as well as any of the backup TEs on the board and there was already talk that Brees liked him.

Deep,
Who are the "impact" rookies for this season?

I'm assuming neither QB will do much with the crappy o-lines their respective teams have.

Here are a few names to remember come draft day....

RB Marshawn Lynch, Buffalo Bills- should be day one starter in front of Anthony Thomas. Lynch made big impression in mini camp with his speed and how well he caught the ball out of the backfield

Some other Rookies I like to make immediate impact are

WR- Dwayne Bowe, KC- should be able to start season as #2 WR only downside is who will be at QB, Huard or Croyle.

it would be easy to say Calvin Johnson but right now he is being picked in 5th round and that is way to high for him. I see value in CJ if he is available in the 7th round or later

I also think there is a chance the Chris Henry RB for Tennessee has a good chance of being impact rookie but need to wait and see if they sign Chris Brown and if L .White can stay out of the all night drive thru at Wendy's

I have 2 championships under my belt in our FFL and another 3 titles in another leauge and by the looks of your teams over the years you ought to be calling into Swaw for advice. Not to mention asking him some Bears TRIVIA.

I support little Swaw and his efforts and I hope the guy becomes as big as MJH .

BTW , I poke fun at you when your not around .

That's kind of odd, I remember leaving you, Jurko and Spiegs in the rear view mirror during the NFL playoffs last year in our Fantasy Lig. :)
