I never said MJH was in trouble. They're both decently rated shows. They'll probably bounce back and forth as to who is higher. But before this book they were both top 4 for men I beleive. I think Mac said he dropped to 10th this book.

[quote="NasStu do you read before you post? Where did you see me post that "His ratings must be down because his replies in a thread are down"?

Reading between the lines that would seem to what you are implying. If your implying that others here are down on the show because the amount of posts in a thread by Mac , I still stand by what I said. I don't buy that logic and not that you are wrong....I just don't agree.

The board has been slow and Doc had names of the missing in the General discussion and many who post in this Thread have not been on in a while and that includes the great Woodridge Ryan. I actually only saw about 3 names on Doc's list who make a difference here but I dygress.

I think that if you are using baseball as an excuse for the decline in ratings, try the Cubs being the cause more than the Sox.

Dan did mention a couple times since he's been back that they finished in 10th place. I noticed he's been cutting Harry off at the pass, so to speak, when Harry starts to bring up topics that could and do bring the show down. It sounds as if Dan is on a mission to steer the show in the direction of what he feels is good radio and after Dan being off for over a month the show needs the Captain to take the wheel and get the ship going in the right direction.

In the words of Dave Wannstedt "They'll be fine".......

Glad to hear that.

Regardless, Waddle and Silverman are light years ahead of their predecessors already and I'm listening to the station a lot more.
Agreed, but I'm not overwhelmed by their show, either.

Mac, I've lived this movie and the coching football might be OK, but trust me, if you find Harry frustrating, you ain't seen nothing yet. I couldn't get out soon enough, and as bad as corporate America can be, it beats the hell out of dealing with idiot parents and school administrators. Think of a bunch radio-exec-suits sitting around jerking each other off discussing the future of radio ane multiply it by 10 and you'll have Education Administrators. Stay very far away.

I don't really see much to respond to.
I listen to the show. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not so good. Being #1 for so long in the ratings may have gone to their heads a little and brought along with it the ESPN attitude of "we know better than you" and "we give you your opinion". There's certainly less listener and emailer interaction which may cause some of the staleness since we're left to listen to the opinions of the three hosts and not much else. It still provides me with entertainment and I'll continue to listen based on past performance and future potential... Of course if Mac's gone for the day and Harry's in, the radio will be off.
