Seriously, someone explain why moving to 2-6 is such a miraculous programming move.

The average person (me) gets out of work at 5 or 5:30. If MJH ends at 6, that's a half hour or so of listening. I would think that getting the average listener during drive-time (5pm-7pm as I see it) would be a bigger priority then getting that coveted 2pm-3pm sparse listener who can tune in while at work.

Not good. No. No. No.

But they will run a "best of Harry" from 6 to 7pm!!

Not enough material :) .

Being selfish, I would like the 2 - 6 time slot. I listen (when I can) at work and I'm home before six o'clock, so losing the last hour doesn't affect me.

I'm going a different route and saying that they are going to announce their new college football expert, Herbstreit(sp) perhaps.

Don't give yourself too much credit there Frank. They've made hints to it over the past few weeks...

It was my first thought too.

Maybe the long talked about Big10 football show with Greenstein is finally a reality. Mac seemed to know a lot about Teddy's whereabouts during yesterday's show.

Possible future lineup:

5-9: Mike & Mike
9-11: Silvy & Waddle
11-2: Rome (or whatever bozo ESPN drags out there)
2-6: MJH
6-7: Chatting with Chet (Nascar show on Tuesdays)
7-9: The Show
9-11: Chicago Baseball Tonight (Chicago Football Tonight starting 11/2)
11-5: Doesn't Matter

Any thoughts

NO CHET!!!
Although I'm usually home by 6:00, there are occasions where I do listen after 6:00 and I don't want to hear Chet  .

If that's true, then I stand corrected and will quietly fall into line. It just doesn't seem logical to me. Is it because that ratings keepers don't take their logs into their cars with them?

No, but there _are_ tangible benefits to having shows run over the "standard" hours. E.g., a mid-day show that begins at 10 and ends at 2pm. An afternoon show that runs from 2-6pm.

I personally, btw, agree that listenership would be there beyond 6pm, because of people doing their commutes. But on the other hand, lots of people on my train have their portable players running movies, Tivo'ed shows and the like. Some of those bluetooth thingies are tuned into radios, but you'll never know which... It's funny that Uhura didn't look that dumbass with those things in her ear, yet... :-)

A fired man wouldn't be skipping... :(

They told Harry if he came in early today they would order him a sausage patty from Geno's east.

I hope not. CBT was a really crappy idea in my opinion. Why can’t it just be an evening show? During the summer, you’ll end up talking baseball 90% of the time anyway, same thing for football during the fall. But having designated baseball/football talk keeps them from covering other issues/sports that are newsworthy.

If memory serves me correctly,
Harry's not a participant of that league.
I believe Slappy wrote about how last year Harry just hung out with everyone and brought them drinks.

Here is what Ed wrote:

Quote:
I've been down to the station a few times and Harry was kind enough to give me a behind the scenes tour and show me around which he did not have to do. I think that was the second time I had met him and I thought it was very classy of him to do. Grid , OPV and a few of the other guys in our fantasy leauge held our draft at the station with Jurko and Mac last year and again Harry came out and hung with us and got us coffee and water and made us feel very welcome down there so I think Harry is "What you see is what you get" type of guy

I guess it's more of Harry the Happy Host

Maybe Harry the Happy Host and HappyHour Jason should do a show together.
