Thumbs Down to Pro Flowers.com for the misleading ad campaign. Sure I can get the two dozen roses, the chocolates and the vase for $39.99 if I type “Harry” or “Jurko” after clicking the microphone at the top right corner. But, wait kids…..There’s more! How about an additional $12.92 for standard express delivery? An additional $9.99 for the guaranteed Valentines Day delivery, because who wants flowers on the 13th or 15th?

And wrap that up with another $5.50 in taxes for a grand total of $68.40.

Thumbs down to me for purchasing them anyway….

I've fallen for it too (actually a couple times). The thing I actually liked about ProFlowers is that they do back-up their promise, that the flowers will last at least a week or they'll replace them at no charge.

What I laugh at is that each individual that does the promo for one of the flower companies says that the deal is exclusive to their listeners. You hear the same deal being offered several times throughout the day but being read by two or three different individuals. Exclusive my ass :P .

Sorry Doug...your email was funny and true, but it isn't smart biz to take shots at a sponsor.

I sent the dentist some flowers for Valentine's Day and was shocked at the additional fee to have them delivered ON Valentine's Day. I'm sure she'd understand if she got the flowers on Wednesday or Friday.

It's worth the extra $10 to make sure they get there.

Funny thing is that they try to hit you up for another $10 charge to guarantee morning delivery.....wtf? :)

They have to make up that ESPN Ad expense some how....
