Coast2Coast, I don't see what was so naive about the opinions of JD, Silvy and Harry. The Bears have a well-documented history of being cheap. You're the naive one if you can't agree with that.

Plus, Bobby Petrino was not the only name brought up. Silvy's comparison to John Fox is valid and Fox is pulling in $5 million/year.

If you don't like Silvy or Harry...fine. But don't act all righteous simply because you've been involved in contract negotiations before (assuming you have).

The point I agreed with on Jurko's end was why bother going over it? Why talk about it now? It'll get done eventually. The football season's over. It's DEAD. I know that ESPN likes to try to keep every sport alive all year round, which is sickening enough--but enough, please! The draft isn't even around the corner. For those who only want to talk about NFL, it's hibernation time--see you in August.

Thanks for responding, Finji. I don't dislike Silvy and Harry. I disagree with them. Big difference. And as far as "righteous" goes, my two paragraph criticism of them is much less righteous than the two hour diatribe they delivered attacking Bears management.

Seems to me that Silvy and Harry were the righteous ones. Maybe you should have the Righteous Brothers for your Friday music. Silvy and Harry could sing "You've Lost that Lovin Feeling" for Angelo and Lovie.

As I said, at least Jurko is there. He is the one sensible person on the show this week who understands the process of business negotiations. So you have that going for you. Which is nice.

-When MJ&H talk Bulls basketball. It's an instant mute. Leave it to real fans like Silvy and Carmen.

Pretending that Illinois basketball matters. IF they make the tournament (and that's a big if, considering the huge drop off in talent after Wisconsin and Ohio State in the Big Ten), they are an irrelevant team. I know the Jamar Smith story is important, so I know why Weber was on, but I've officially turned on Tiny. Quit kissing Weber's ass like last weeks so-called "big" win against freaking Penn State mattered. Creighton has had more big wins that U of I. Keep it.

You did nothing but hurt Illinois recruiting with that post. It's a little known fact that Derrick Rose and Eric Gordon are members of CSFMB.

Yeah, I can deal with maybe one segment, but when it turns into taking calls for what bets they are going to do amongst each other, I quickly lose interest.
