I had the same thing, Mac. I had to be taken out of a Bears game because I couldn't take a step in any direction.

The epidural was key, but I swear the excersices they've undoubtedly recommended are the key to back health. A strong core and limber hamstrings will help protect the discs. Let me know if you have any questions. I feel like a million dollars these days.

I had a similar occurrence in a fitness center where they had to call 911 and I spent 2 days in the hospital because I couldn't move. I had an epidural 7 months ago and have felt better but got my first spasm since then this week. I'll be popping flexeril and vicodin and passing out on the couch and probably getting another epidural next week.

After reading the horrors of divorce and back pain you guys are scaring me about growing up.

I had a blast at the event and my foursome of 3 Putt Gene , Golf Boy(Scorehead 84) and Highland Park Kevin and our "GuY " Carm shot a 67 for the day .

We all got to know Carm a bit and the guy is a riot and could not be more of a down to earth guy and we did movie lines and laughed at every hole . The highlight was at the 6th hole where 4 Jack Daniels models were there to take pictures and hang a bit with us . Saying they were "HOT" was an understatement and we would hook up with them and chat at dinner and boy were they hammered.

By the end of the day we were spent but what a well run event and guys like Ottis Wilson , Tom Waddle and every person at ESPN were great .

The dinner and raffle was as fun and we got to bond with my guy Brian Swaw , Silvy, JD, Carm , Mac, Jurko and Harry,who was bombed out of his mind and of course the Jack Daniles girls.

Also, great to meet Doc, Rob and Dougs dad as well. Doug was feeling no pain around the 7PM hour as well . Not as bad as Harry ..

Gentlemen, it was an enjoyable day and good to meet Rob, Ed, Scorehead, Doug's dad, and Doug again.

We were once again just 9 or 10 putts from an incredible round, but ended up 4 under I believe.

Otis Wilson signed Doug's ball. So, everybody was happy for him.

We played with Josh Mora from Comcast - very cool guy. Although, Rob and I both agreed that, in the end, Josh probably still considers us creepy internet people.

I talked with Silvy for a while. Silvy was also very cool even though I was forced to tell him that I wasn't a big fan of his early on but I did (and do) think the show is coming together now.

I missed my chance to chat up Amy Jacobsen, who is much better looking in person and I think she looks good on TV. Also missed Stephen Bardo, who is also much better looking in person and I think he looks good on TV.

Overall, good time.

Funny , when I saw Doug and his dad I asked who his celeb was and Doug say's, 'Jim Mora '.... I 'm like cool , the ex-Colts and Saints coach? Dougs like , 'Yeah, I guess so' .

Needles to say that when Doug and his group pulls up behind us I didn't hear a guy yelling "PLAYOFFS" !!!

i was on a mission after golf....running around like a kid with an autograph book.

it was more important for me to get Mongo, Otis, and Jim Morrissey to sign my game used Bears Super Bowl XX ball, than it was to talk to the Jack Daniels girls.
It was quite humorous watching the married guys drool all over themselves. Some of the stuff guys were saying to them was pretty embarrassing actually. Not to mention the prodding (all in good fun, i suppose) that I was receiving both during and after the round to go "talk to them."
I got a wink and a smile from the ukranian chick and the uberhot brunette, that was enough for me. plus...girls that look like that aren't single....ever.

The tequilla chicks on the 15th? hole were pretty cute as well. the girl in the red with the blonde curly hair...she was smoking imo.

my hamstrings are killing me.

we shot a 68, I believe. i played like shit. I had one good putt and one good drive and lost 3 sleeves of balls. Josh Mora from Comcast was our "guy" and he was a really cool dude to hang out with.

met Coppock, Norm V.L., talked to Pastor for a bit, Mike Starr,etc....there were so many people that i recognized but couldn't place them and ultimately didn't talk to. oh well, blame it on the 40 beers I had yesterday.

The outing was neat.

Random observations:

There were radio, tv, sport "celebs" all over the place.
I'm not sure how Comcast had anyone on hand to do the pre & post game shows, unless they did it from the course.

Harry looked like he needed someone to hold his shins to stand straight, and that was at 11:00.

Mongo golfs with his chiuahua.

The Doc hits it a long way even with busted ribs.

Ed is as humble as he says he is.

There was a Jack Daniels hole, a Cazadores tequilla hole & 18 Miller beer holes.

Everything else was covered by the other posts with the notable exception of the Ottis Wilson incident where he hit a screaming hook into our group while we were standing on the tee box. Before you even ask, I don't know if he was using a club
