Ok, I know I posted this under the MJH banner, but pretty much anything going on with ESPN 1000 would have to revolve around them as the mantelpiece. With the recent discussions of contracts in Feder's columns and with Waddle coming over, I thought to myself, "what would be the best day to day lineup for ESPN 1000?". This is what I came up with: 5 AM to 9 AM - Mike and Mike. No sense in changing it if it is working. 9AM to Noon - Jiggetts and North - yes you read correctly. I think Jiggetts and North together again on a station people actually listen to would be fantastic. I haven't listened to North since he orchestrated this breakup, but if he could put his ego aside, they were a great combination. Of course, it will never happen because North would never get an opportunity at ESPN 1000. Noon to 3 - Jurko, Harry and Silvy - I actually like these 3 guys together. I think it allows Jurk's funnier side to be displayed and gives Harry a platform. 3 to 7 - Boers and Mac - my favorite grouping ever. The chemistry was there, the acerbic wit, the banter - this program had it all. Miss those days. 7 to 10 - J Hood and Carm - I like both of them separately, I think they would be pretty good together. Overnights - Coppick, Mike Murphy, Lawrence Holmes - you pick Get rid of: Rosey, Waddle, Salsbury, Dan Patrick (never happen) Thoughts? |

Waddel just signed a new contract, so he is there. The rest can go, Jigs and North reunion...No, because at the end of their run, it was just bad and who wants to revisit that crap. |

My dream line up begins with having someone (anyone) who talks Chicago sports in the morning. And also late night -- if I'm out for the evening and miss the Sox games, I'd like to hear about what happened on my drive home. Since we're dreaming, here's how I'd round it out... 9:00 - 11:00 Chicago Baseball/Football Daily - a show focusing on the in-season teams. 11:00 - 3:00: Heavy Fuel Crew reunion 3:00 - 7:00: Steve & Garry reunion Again, since we are dreaming, both reunion shows would be as good as the originals. |

WR - sorry, I know it's been done before. But I thought I'd rekindle with all the contracts ending, shifts changing, etc. |
