Untill Big Fan hires message board police than people should just STFU.

There are threads I check about once a month and shame on me for that but with B&B and MJH really being the only shows I listen too (beside my own thread of course  ) I really don't have a thought. I did check out some great posts in the management on other hosts thread..Great stuff.

I originally posted this as a response in COMMERCIALS, but since the MJH forum has already been violated  , I've got to share it:

This is a fairly regular Chicago area advertiser. Check out what they're trying to do . . . on their OWN websites:

Kars4Kids website give us "The truth about Cucumber Phone Service"
http://www.kars4kids.org/cucumberphoneservice.htm

Cucumber Communications gives us "The truth about Kars4kids"
http://www.cucumber.com/kars4kids.html

. . . can they possibly be serious??

The only thing worse than a commercial featuring a child is a commercial featuring a child singing. I've said it many times before, but it bears repeating: nothing is more awful than the sound of children singing. I can't understand how advertising people still haven't realized this. Commercials featuring singing children instantly earn a boycott from me.

Oh, and the dude sucks too. If you're going to have someone sing, who isn't a child (all children are horrible singers), why not get one that can sing worth a damn?

One last thing: for whatever reason, the fact that the child pronounces "today" "tuh-day" bothers me.

You don't like the commercial "Scruff McGruff Chicago Illinois 6-0-6-5-2"?

OMG, you seriously just about sent me into shock: I had purged that commercial from my mind, and my remembering it sparked a rush of adrenaline-fueled rage. That commercial is ridiculous beyond comprehension. I said that all children suck at singing, but that kid takes sucking at singing to new levels. How about they way he/she sings "Illinois?"

Scruff, gruff, Chicago Illinoi-OI-oi-OI-oi-OI-oi-OIs, 60652.

It's my understanding that that commercial is used as the last resort measure for interrogators at GITMO.

MITC - The kick in the nuts for me is how the dude doesn't pronounce the plural of "kids." Sounds like he's singin' "Kars for Kid." Please kill me.

He's trying REALLY hard to be Johnny Cash.

(I wish he would succeed...)
