Mac, I haven't been able to listen to the show lately and I was wondering if you started discussing your annual Sox/Cub bets? Is Jurko following through with his threat to break away from Harry? Have you agreed on any bets?

If you're taking recommendations how about number of manager ejections (the most wins the bet)?

Considering the Sox will win most of the "real" bets based on season performances, I think they need to take these bets into more competititve areas. I've got a few bets to consider for the fellas:

Most Ejections: Lou vs. Ozzie...Pick em. I love that one.

Which manager will apologize the most times for inappropriate comments they utter: Lou vs. Ozzie...Pick em.

Who will spend more combined days on the disabled list: Kerry Wood and Mark Prior vs. the entire Sox opening day starting lineup (combined).

Who will have more game appearances: Wood and Prior (combined) vs. Jenks.

Mac, I think you should jump all over the proposed 5th starter bet. It will take Lou (or Hendry) 2 or 3 starts to realize Wade Miller's 86 mph fastball isn't going to get major league hitters out then you can get the 5th starter carrousel spinning. Guzman/Prior/Marshall/Cotts/Marmol/Mateo/O'Malley/Walrond

Maybe a better bet is will the Cubs get more wins from the 5th spot than starters used?

most world championship rings since moving into thier new ballpark..

(keep in mind...even if the cubs win this year, the best they can do is tie the sox :))

still think they should do win % within the division. obviously, the NL central is a lot worse than the AL central, but if either team is gonna make a run at the playoffs, they'd better plan on having that win % number be near .580
