So far he's 0-3 in the early games. Let's keep a running tab as Mac's money drips away. Watch this will be the one year that all favorites cover.

This used to be a solid bet and hopefully for Mac it will be this year. About three years ago, lines on dogs seemed to have gotten shorter and have remained so. I just went back and ran the numbers. Last year, first round dogs were 13-18-1 ATS against the closing number. Two years ago, dogs were barely profitable at 17-15 ATS. Three years ago, it was 16-16.

Vegas adjusts. If it was a fact that majority of dogs win every year then Vegas would go out of business.

Poor Mackie. The one year he does this. He's 0-8 so far. Wow!!!! Most of them weren't even close.

Old Dominion - L

Pennsylvania - L

George Washington - L

Hey Coast is this what you call a trend? LOL. Get a comeback Mackie. You got 24 more dogs to go. LOL.

Virginia Com. - W

Central Con. St. - L (Mac may have pushed if he got it at +21 but most had it at 20.5)

Marquette - L

Webber St - L

Mackie's on the board. He is 1-11. Unbeleivable. This won't happen on a tourny opening day for another 15 years most likely.

His associates better be buying dinner tonight.

And I suspect the books are taking a real pounding today too. Could be a record kind of day for the books. Not that they will be looking for food stamps anytime soon. They just hate having to tap the vault.

Write St. - L

E. Kentucky - W

BYU - W (This could be a push if Mac had it at +2. I hope Mac had it at +2.5)

Gonzaga - L

So Mac finishes day one at 3-13. Harry and Jurko should pay for dinner, booze and the strippers.

If I'm not mistaken I think Mac said that he grouped up with a couple of buddies and would bet all of the dogs right when he landed in Vegas. I think he just wanted to do one stop and the window and be done with it. So I think he's married to all of the dogs today.

They need to bring back the "taking it in the shorts guy" commercial.

Favorites went 9-6-1 against the closing number on Friday. Brings the final tally to 22-8-2.

Coast, Mac obviously did not take a look at the excerpt from the interview you posted in the gambling section....you win if you bet the dogs discrminitely.

Like I said. If that were a fact, Vegas would go out of business. Now on any given year that could happen. It sucks for Mac that the one year he does this it's a reccord winning percentage for the favorites. LOL.
At the very least you figure you would come close to .500. And just have fun having action on every game.

Fortunately, my buddy Noz and I only wagered $25 bucks each. I can afford the $400 or so I got hit. Got more than even on the roulette wheel Saturday. Love playing the outside aggressively while all the suckers waste their chips only on birthdays. Very successful trip.... got on the buggy this morning with about the same cash as when I split. You guys miss us Thursday and Friday?

Yeah. I figured you could afford it. Plus I remember you saying it wasn't huge money you put down. Glad to hear you got it back.

Chicago survived without you Thurday and Friday Mac. B&B is a decent option. Many of your listeners split their loyalty as you know. It's a day to day thing. Sorry to burst your ego.

Ha. I t was nice to get basketball during Salsibury's spew fest. I also went back to my roots so to speak listening to B & B and found it enjoyable for both days. It's just one of those shows I can't do everyday. I swear I can feel myself becoming more of a senile old bastard listening to them.

I would have had to hear you on Wednesday to miss you on Thursday and Friday. The streaming from the new website sucks. Couldn't get it to work up in Canada for anything.

I scheduled meetings during your time slot last week. And, yes, the streaming sucks here too- ever since "the switch" it fades in and out.

Sunday morning on March Madness weekend at the Vegas airport gives new meaning to the three dreaded words "standing in line". Everyone should experience that once.
