Just in case you guys wanted some REAL breaking NFL news pertinent to Bears fans, and not some jabberfest with Kevin Stallings. ;)

As long as they're restructuring that god-awful contract that Washington gave him, I have no problem with the trade.

Shoot, for a split-second I thought Angelo called Grid for his approval.

He does, but let's keep that on the down low.

I love Mike Brown, but he can't stay on the field. Will Adam Archuletta and Mike Brown both start?

One problem addressed. May not be THE answer to all their secondary issues, but on the field, it's an improvement. Is the price too high? I don't know because I don't know what all their other available options might be.

Maybe they realized Manning and Harris were liabilities in the secondary. That TD pass to Wayne changed the momentum of the SB.

It was also Goober's ONLY TD pass in the Super Bowl.

In the NFC Championship game he totally whiffed when attempting to tackle Reggie Bush on his TD sprint also. AWFUL tackling technique. Bush zigged, Daniella zagged... Daniella had two hands full of sod, Bush was somersaulting into the end zone.

Brown, Archuleta, Manning and Harris
coupled with Tillman, Vasher, Manning Jr. and ???? are a pretty formidable secondary.

I still say Hester moves to WR, and the Bears draft a CB in the first four rounds of the draft this year, seeing as Tillman and Vasher are both unrestricted free agents after this season.

Maybe two of 'em Nas. Just get the ball in his hands, and let him work his magic.

They reworked the deal. It's a slight upgrade for the Bears. Archuleta is a Rich Man's Todd Johnson. I'm not sure what that means.

With Briggs playing hard ball with the Bears they have to take a LB .I would also think about a solid QB in the 2nd or 3rd rounds as well .

Pissed that the Chargers came out with new uniforms today. I loved the blue helmets but it's now a throwback on my shelf.

Grid, show the link . Bad, very , very bad.

I'd be happy if they could consistently get the ball in Grossman's hands. ;)

Ditto on Hester being too dumb to learn any of the plays. Has clusterfuck written all over it.

And why the hell is this in the MJH thread?

of course he's a dumbfuck, but why should that matter? how hard is it for him to learn something like "line up here. quater back snaps ball on count X. you run reverse. you take ball. you run toward endzone."

not all that much different from, "kicker/punter kicks ball. you catch ball. you run toward endzone."

OK, my point being on Hester moving to WR. He can NOT be a starting (or 3rd CB off the bench) CB. If Tillman or Vasher move on after '07 - Angelo had best have another solid CB with a year under his belt. You could see how much Ricky Manning Jr. struggled when he started. He's ideally suited to playing the slot receiver, or beating the bejesus out of geeks at Denny's.

And Slapshot Ed wanted to see the new Chargers uniforms. Obviously the numbering was inspired by the Arena League. I don't have as much of a problem with the helmet as Ed does.

Scott,
I'm a 37 year old white male living in the GOP bastion known as DuPage county (not complaining).
I'm sure my instant street cred will be useful with the 3rd grade soccer team I'm coaching and their Landrover driving moms

Maybe I'll just go hang out with the "kids" at the Four Lakes Pub

You can be 37 at The Lodge, Rob, you just have to act like a 23 year old bro. Hell, Drinky's 34.

Where do Chuck Cecil and Brian Noble fit in that? Or are Cecil and Noble the same guy much like Anthony Bowie and Donald Royale.

I love how a melanin deficiency can make two different players comparable guys.

Kirk Hinrich = Poor Man's Steve Nash. I've heard this one too many times.

Now Todd Johnson = Poor Man's Adam Archuleta.

Sure.
