So what you're saying is Doug from EP moved to Canada to make the MJH golf thingy a home game?

Now that's commitment to a program.

I'm in if someone wants to get a group together. I'll be playing either way.

I'd be in. Just to clarify does this mean that MJH is having a golf outing and we're planning on going? Doesn't matter. Give me golf beer and sun and I'll make it happen.

Golf isn't my strongest sport.

However.... Mac said we can fish in the ponds at the golf course. I think I may be able to pull that off, as I pride myself as a master baiter.

do you have to qualify for this? or be invited? or just have the money?

Post subject:

it's all about the money, if i'm not mistaken.

You have to qualify.

Unless you are Rex Grossman and then you just have a spot.

As Murph might say:

MJH is raising money to fight Autism reaserch

Why the eye-roll Rob? It's a good cause.

It was $250 bucks last year and it was a blast. We had a great group and the course is outstanding.

It was worth the $250 to listen to Norm Van Leir and his many stories during his Bulls days at dinner. That also was the day I feel in love with Kerry Sayers.

They also had great auction items as well . I picked up an Authentic Brett Favre autographed Packer helmet for a song .

The outing is for a great cause to find a cure for Autism..Which is near and dear to Mac's heart.

Read it again Doc.

To Fight Autism research.

Generally I don't fight medical reaserch, I do my best to support it

I think Murph once said it while plugging Santo's fundraiser.

Got it. My bad.

I figured I was missing something. I didn't expect a Mustang Rob to suddenly start breaking bad on medical research. :)

Here's all I know at this point....
Date is June 11... venue is Stonewall Orchard, near Grayslake.
Cost is $1000 per foursome. They sell fast so please be prepared to pull the trigger quickly.
Usual suspects for celebs... Van Lier... ex-Bears... media types, like Ed's Kerry Sayers... station employees. We pick guys who like to mingle with people, not the biggest names. Rumor has it Ditka will play this year as well. "Good... drive."
If you cats can guarantee me two or three foursomes, I'll "freeze" those spots, but I'm gonna need the checks two or three weeks before the outing.
Thanks- have a good weekend.

Well, if we want to tally guys from the board that are definitely in to group up a couple board 4-somes then -

#1

Sorry guys, but this is a little out of my price range. If I get a raise between now and then, I'll definitely revisit the idea.

I'm in. Sort of. But count me as a definite spot.

A caveat: I may be still recuperating from shoulder surgery and on the DL then, but even if I am, I'll still be in for the cash. I'll tell you what. I will know in early to mid May whether I'll be physically able to play. I will pay the fare either way. But if I can't play, someone from the board who wants to play, but can't afford it (Scholar?) can play in my place.

MUS, you just need a couple of sponsors. The GM Goodwrench logo would look sweet on the hood of your golf cart.

Or email GoldenPalace.com, they have a lot of money from all of Mac's bad free advice on the wagering and such.

So you only play golf with yourself? Is that like a modified version of pocket pool? You have given new meaning to "night putting". What's your favorite club...the 1-wood?

Thanks Coast, that's really nice of you. I'm sure there has to be someone more deserving than me, though.

And don, I'm way ahead of you. I've already tattooed "Bud Light Bleachers" across my forehead - if it was okay for the Cubs, I figure the Tribune will think this is a GREAT idea too. Then I'll get Anheuser's money and possibly own CLTV also.
