I had just the opposite reaction. I would've turned the dial halfway into Finfer's segment if I hadn't been so captivated by the unadulterated stupidity of his argument. Finji should be the one who goes away for a month. Maybe that'll give him some time to recover his senses.

More and more, those "updates" are starting to sound like mandatory book reports that get done the day they're due, on the way to school. Even if you don't agree with the subject, at least his was entertaining (which is the least I can ask of those things).

Maybe they should start asking for listener submissions that the "talent" could read.

i don't think Ben meant it for real it's just the fact that NCAA rules the roost in March and the NBA season is merely a bridge to line the pockets of all the owners until the real seasonbegins - in the playoffs i would assume that Dan McKneel likes to surround himself with producers that agree with his sports passions and while Ben is a Cubs fan, so is 75% of the city of Chicago.

A baby boomer thing? Really? People of other generations don't drink, but then tell their kids not to drink? Other aged people never smoke and then tell their kids not to smoke? It was originally meant in jest, but methinks thou doth protest too much. Boomers are notorious for making excuses and not taking criticism well. Thank you for proving my point without even realizing it.

Reason, it is funny how the meaning of words can be misinterpreted. Semantics are a lovely thing. Let me try again. I took the criticism from KS. I accepted it. How did I make an excuse? I acknowledged fault. If I wasn't clear the first time, I do so again.

What I take issue with is your claim that my faults are somehow age-related and are a boomer thing. You now go on to add that boomers are "notorious for making excuses and not taking criticism well". Ok. Just so there is no confusion....I will accept this criticism from you. I won't make excuses about it.

I just wonder what kind of people you are surrounded by and what kind of perfect world you must live in, that only people aged 45 and over have these faults? I'm not accusing you of being preachy. I just figure that for you to be surrounded by that much perfection in your life, you must live in a monastery.

FINJILANDIA ON THE MUSCLE!!!

I kind of laughed when I looked at the 'seedings' for the NBA playoffs. Did you guys realize that 25% of the NBA teams that would be in the playoffs if the season ended today do NOT even have winning records?

2 of 8 teams in the East, and 2 of 8 in the West.

So (while I think Ben's little blurb was partly done with tongue planted firmly in cheek), he does kind of have a point... All that really matters are those final 8 teams playing for the championship.

... it's nice to be back from Vegas, my ATM card got a workout.... and for what it's worth, the sportsbooks were NOT CROWDED at all during last weekend's NCAA games. Plenty of elbow room.....
