That's ESPN vs. The Score overall, not 3-7, you dope. Make sure you're available here when the book is released at the end of the month. |

No, you claimed a victory for ESPN. And even if you do/did beat B&B, doesn't it in the end only matter what the two stations did against each other. Oh, and a "dope! I always love a good game of "I know what you are, but what am I?" |

i dont believe they've ever claimed a victory overall. whenever they mention it on the show, its always "the #1 afternoon show" not "the #1 sports radio station" |

I'm not talking about on the show, I don't listen to it. Instead I'm talking about something he claimed a month or so ago on the board. If it was the just the two shows, I apologize....well, not really, because in the end it only matters what the station vs. station numbers are, because both afternoon shows have a loyal following and will be able to generate advertising. So in the end, it comes down to station vs. station. And ESPN's been taking it up the ass lately against mediocre competition on the Score. |

Actually, no. What matters most to Jurko, Harry, me and our producers is that our show is the highest rated radio show on both stations. That is our wish every ratings book and it has been fulfilled in all but twice in the last three and a half years.. both times being edged by Mike and Mike. |

then what do you care? when Mac mentioned ratings here, its not espn vs. wscr overall. |

So you are more worried about what your show gets ratings wise, compared to your station as a whole. Listen, people have been claiming for a few years now that WSCR is in trouble of shutting down thanks to bad programming. I disagree. If anyone's in trouble it's 1000. If WSCR ever gets their ass in gear and decides to put on solid shows all throughout the day....1000 is going to get absolutely pounded into the ground. All 670 needs to do is make some tweaks, and it's see ya later for local ESPN 1000 programming. I think I just may change my name to 'WMVP is doomed". |

Does any listener really care about the ratings for the stations or the particular shows ? Nothing makes me punch a button quicker than a host bragging about ratings. |

All I hope is that by the time the book comes out it FINALLY is the catalyst to putting the Salisbury and Rosenbloom abortion to rest. And North of course as well. |

Agreed S&R are the reason for the reason for the ratings being in favor of WSCR. They get pathetic numbers. You should be thankful Sleuth since you seem to be enjoying the fact that the score gets a higher rating. Also, I would be proud if I was the best at what I do in a major market like Chicago. MJH is not the reason that WMVP isn't listened to, it is the void that is between Mike and Mike and MJH. They can only do so much to help the station. |

But, the problem is they won't. The Bristols are dead set on nationalizing all the local ESPN stations. Chicago fans want to hear about chicago sports, not about the Red Sox, Yankees, TO, Duke and Bob Knight. And it seems Justin Craig is a big part of the problem, not a part of the solution. |

Tweak this dipshit, as long as North is on and your lovers B&B keep losing in the most important time slots the snore has big trouble. The two star shows on your station are losing AGAIN. No surprise to anyone with ears. |

Wow. You're going out on a limb with such specific programming ideas there. Let me counter: All 1000 needs to do is make some tweaks, and it's see ya later for 670 programming. |

The two star shows on your station are losing AGAIN. No surprise to anyone with ears. White Sox baseball will keep the Scores numbers up as they did during the years they were on MVP. As much as Murph is hated on this board he does have good numbers and he offers his shoulder for Cubs fans to cry on during baseball season and really is the only true Cubs fan on Sports radio. B&B have seen better days but they got my ear last week and get my ear from the 2 to 3 slot. I see a shuffle with those two in the near future. Someone needs to wake up Terry and Bernstien is in need of a host who will challenge him at least once a month ... MJH is not above getting pounded as well. The Cubs vs Sox fan talk was a reminder that sports radio can be as exciting as reading graffiti on a bathroom wall. What would I do if I owned the Cubs segment sounds like something from a College radio station in Boozeman, MT (no offense Frank). CHALLENGE your listeners Mac..Your in the baseball season now and NFL draft is weeks away, the Bulls are in the playoff race and could host the first 2 rounds at home if you had not heard there is still an NBA team in town . DON'T lob the listners softballs with college bits. ![]() |

Wow, Sleuth, that is an intersting line of thinking you've come up with. You accuse Mac of only being interested in the success of his own show and not the rest of the station. Duh! His show is the only show he has any control over, Brainiac! You say that if SCR ever fixes its line-up they'll kill MVP. Duh! That's like saying that if the Cubs go out and get the best players, they'll be better than the Sox. SCR is worse right now, face facts. What if MVP improves their line-up? Will they bury the Score even deeper? By the way, how many years of schooling did you have to go through to become a brain surgeon? |

Ah, the MJH Asslick Coalition is out in full force. Fuck all of you. And Score is doomed, if the Score is in such trouble why are they pounding the fuck out of WMVP. |
