If any of you guys are interested, every year we get about 6 to 12 guys together and watch the NFL Draft at Real Time Sports in Elk Grove Village: http://www.realtimesportsbar.com/ Needless to say when the Bears pick higher the turnout is better, but this year could be interesting with those two picks at 31 and 37, with the potential of Briggs to be dealt at any minute. Saturday, April 28th at 11AM until..... I already predict the Vikings and Texans will pick the wrong guy. |

Don't forget the Lions. |

I FORGOT that they were an NFL team. Actually Roy Williams has done pretty well, but I agree with you... Harrington, Charles Rogers and Mike Williams is about as bad as it gets, and Kevin Jones was a good 'value' pick for them, but he has sucked the past two years after closing out strongly the second half of his rookie season. |

If we could get about 4 or 5 regulars, I would be down for that. |

Fervently requesting that the terms "Linda S." and "beaver" and "come" never be combined in one post again. And yes, I realize that this post violates the rule. |

A few years ago just getting the pick in on time would have been reason enough for them to celebrate. |

Will Mel Kiper Jr. be at the wedding to break it down and tell everyone that you and your mate will be a project? |

If so, I hope the Colts GM will be there as well to talk about his mailman being more qualified than Kiper. |

I'll probably end up going there. I'm sure Grid and I will have a fight at some point. I just hope the rest of his entourage (Beef and others) don't come to his aide... |

Ryan, just leave the Colt-wear elsewhere. Bring along a booster seat also, as Brian Swaw appears to be joining in on the festivities. Perhaps we should bring along one of these in case he gets drunk and we have to carry him out of the bar: |

Besides drinking some brews , what is the attraction of sitting at a bar watching the NFL draft ? Sounds like an afternoon with the Breakfast Club . The Bears are picking 30th, so I figure around 6pm will give me a reason to turn on the NFL network and see how Uncle Jerry trades out of the 1st round for some D-2 Punter at pick 42. Not my cup of tea. |

Not my cup of tea. It's not for the casual football fan. They pick 31st and 37th too btw. Unless they unload the whiner known as Lance Briggs, then things could change. |

I won't be able to get up there....In the past, a friend of mine invited about 10-15 of us draft nuts/drunks in general up to cottage in Michigan where we just drank for the entire weekend. He's moved to Delaware for his job, but I'm hosting a smaller drunk fest at my condo that weekend for the draft. |
