Post subject:  The All-Tiny Team

was talking online with a buddy of mine a little while ago (who's also a regular as the corner tavern) and we got on the subject of our all time baseball team; but it was players of our generation (pudge fisk C, andre dawson, paul molitor, tim raines OFs, sandberg 2B, etc). well, then the topic turned to Harry's all time baseball team. oh as we all know, harry's team would not be chock full of the legends like our team was...so, im posting it here...some weekend baseball fodder if you will.

1st base and team captain- mark grace
2nd base- a converted shawon dunstun
ss- juan uribe, who would have to wear assless chaps in the [zimmer] clubhouse [/zimmer]
3rd base- ron santo
catcher- brook fordyce
outfielders- aaron rowand, darin erstad, matt murton, moises alou
pitching rotation- #1 steve trachsel, #2 wade miller, #3 jon garland
closing pitcher- kelly wunsch

couldnt really come up with many other relievers or bench players (outside of moises), but we did get some of the coaching staff down:

1st base coach- dennis savard
3rd base coach- rex grossman
bench coach- mr skin, pun intended
bullpen coach- frank the bartender from harry caray's
manager- john paxon

Hecklers in the stands- anyone from the '69 mets, doug- evergreen park, wayne fontes, and on certain days, mac and jurko

this was the best that we could come up with. feel free to add or subtract as necessary

Not bad,
All we need is to find a place for Robbie Gould and Brad Maynard and everything would be set.

Did anybody hear when Tiny asked Robbie Gould if he got a copy of the song he did in his honor? Nothing but an uncomfortable pregnant pause on the part of Robbie Gould after the question. Apparently Jeff Dickerson never gave it to Gould, as (I assume) Harry had asked of him.
