Sorry I missed it. I think Michael Sheehan's entry is very beatable. I wanted to do one a Buerle no hitter tribute to Earth, Wind, and Fire, September. But that would be too much effort for no payoff so too bad so sad for me. |

it could have been funnier. i liked that he chose "hurt". the cubs are depressing. it works. i also liked the idea of using johnny cash's version since it has more resonance with pinella. |

Yea, I do not claim to be the next American Idol and I just decided, what the hell, you know? I knew this wasn't going to win, but I was listening to hurt and a couple of lyrics ran in my head about Lou instead so I did it. It is BAAAAAAAD, but yea I did it and I'm glad i did. I figured it would make some pretty good fodder on the boards. I'm glad Grid and his clan all heard it, ha! |

Nas, you crack me up sometimes. I got shit for my song at first and then a few people say, hey, at least you give it a shot and then you piss all over them. No one was handing me a nineth play trophy, simply acknowledging the fact I tried to do something I normally wouldn't even bother with. Nt a big deal.

well, My Pink Floyd Parody song of "Mother" from The Wall, called "Ozzie" was simply too damn long. No matter what I did, I couldn't get it under a minute and 30....it was really fast, I was cutting too much out. Just didn't work, though the lyrics were pretty good. I have a new idea though. Even though the deadline is noon today, I think I'll try to send it in this week knowing it won't be eligible to win. |
