Coming home from work yesterday and I hear Harry say that Mark Grace's #17 should be retired??? Harry please share with the rest of us that good stuff you are smokin. Cub fan since birth here and sorry there are few other Cubs who should have their number retired way before Mark "I need another cigarette, I hit 3rd my whole career and never got a 100 rbis" Grace. Jenkins, Sutter and even Lee Smith before that suckwad Grace. Harry, did you watch the Cub games when Grace played?? How many times when the Cubs needed the big hit did he ground out to 2nd or pop out to left? Way too many is all I know.

you said it. Mark Grace, while a good if not very good hitter at times, was one of the most unclutch hitters the Cubs had. He played great D always...hit awesome in 89 playoffs, but on a day in & day out basis...he NEVER hit consistently with RISP. A number 3 hitter that never drove in 100 runs?

Not only that, but his "gay jog" back to the dugout after he made an out disqualifies him immediately.

Frankly...the Cubs already have too many jerseys retired for a team that has not won anything in nearly 100 years.
