Who has called it quits. I didn't read most of these threads here. It got too stupid for me. |

I have a couple of ideas about this: 1. Maybe people here have been posting so long that they are starting to cycle together...like women when they live together. 2. I blame Global Warming 3. I blame rising Gas Prices (I know I have nothing to complain about compared to Chicago...but it's 2.99 here) 4. It is finals week and that always makes people short. |

Isn't there some kind of reset button somewhere? |

I think we should learn to at least be civil to eachother for the kid's sake. |

I was never mad. I made a joke that didn't work out. I was suprised to learn somebody thought I was prejudiced toward a group of people based on their economic status. I don't (or at least think I do) judge people based on money, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, etc. I didn't want others thinking I did. That's really all it was to me, no more and no less. I like this board because of all the different backgrounds and opinions. I don't mind the arguments and disagreements. It's unfortunate people want to pack up their keyboards and go home and I'm not sure why. |

A great number of people seem to feel the need to be drama queens all of a sudden. I'm on the board as much as anyone else but certainly don't post as much, and from what I've seen it's not like people posted things today that are that different from what's been posted here before. I think everybody was just too hyped up for May Day or the MJH golf outing and lost their marbles. |

Ya know.. I am leaning more towards someone putting something in the food supply that was dormant within our systems until 5-1-2007. A DVD decryption key was posted on digg.com today and things there have gone bananas too. Threats of long-time notable digg users leaving. Casual users getting annoyed by the whole thing. Oddly similar to our situation here.. except for the dvd key thing.. we had a cacophony of strange issues here today... http://digg.com/ http://greghartnett.com/revolt-at-digg/ |

It reminds me of the scene in the Godfather when Clemenza is preparing Michael for assasinating the Turk. A civil war is good every few years or so, it helps to clean up some latent hostilities. |

It was predictable, but we didn't do our homework. The full moon came in yesterday. We should be on red alert for full moon meltdowns. |

The strange occurrences on websites yesterday continued on Fark.com apparently. There was a story yesterday about students cheating and the original new story included serious cleavage. In order to prevent NSFW images being added to threads, the fark admins started deleting images/posts. Apparently, it blew up. http://forums.fark.com/cgi/fark/comment ... nk=2777516 hrmm.. 5-1-2007 may go down as the oddest day in forums history..evar! |

There was a ton of bickering on another forum where I post. There is certainly something in the air. |

I think it all harkens back to ONE fact. Football season is now officially over. It begins in late July with Training Camp and ends with the breakdown the day after the NFL Draft. |
