Got a bit lucky again today and got the winner and hit the exacta for the derby. It's been a great week with the horses. The infield was pretty muddy today but that made for a lot of hot women doing drunken mud wrestling. Quite nice. |

How about Mac's horse comming in dead last. Too funny. Actually that's not his WORST prediction. Several years ago (when he was 'between local radio jobs', he was broadcasting on weekends from Bristol and he confidently picked Dale Earnhardt to win the Daytona 500. He didn't come in dead last, but he didn't finish, but he was dead. |

Slap Shot ED wrote: I better stick to playing poker, Craps and slot machines. I had about $200 bucks worth of different exactas, Superfectas, Trifectas and walked away with $ 3 bucks to win on 'Street Sense'. That didn't pay for the 4 Red Bulls I had.
Good time at 'Bookie Magee's' down here in Joliet and talking with the owner he told me that Illinois is trying to get sports betting in the OTB's to off set the losses to the boats. If it passes it could bring the state millions in Tax revenues but I don't think it will happen . I think Oregon is the only state besides Nevada and Jersey that allows sports gaming . For the record , if you were a fan of the #7 yesterday it was your day . Daily double was (7-7) paid $87.00 the pick 3 was (7-7-7-) paid $927.00 the pick 4 was (3-7-7-7) paid $4,783 and the pick 6 was (7-7-3-7-7-7) paid $231,225 if you had all 6 correct . and Street Sense was the #7 horse. |

Some days even a Captain Byron T. Hadley. But thanks for noticing. Edit: Your quotes seem to work better than mine. |

Slapper- I was at Bookie Magee's around noon. I almost went to the drive thru window because I wanted to say I placed my Derby bet from a drive thru but I went inside to do some last minute 'research'. Lot of good it did me as my horse came in 18th! |

Yes, we did see that and thought it was funny .There were about 10 cars sitting in line for the drive thru as some old man was confused trying to order a Big Mac and fries. I did no better either as I pounded all the long shots except my $3 bet on Street Sense. I went over to the Empress after that and got smoked at the $5 , $10 dollar no limit Texas hold'em table. I'm done wagering for a while . |
