Mac, in the past I've given you a hard time about Featured Artist Friday (Sheryl Crow, namely) and music in general. But after hearing Laurence Holmes wax rhapsodically over the music of the Fray, Coldplay, My Chemical Romance and Amy Winehouse, I apologize for how I have besmirched your taste in music. I will take an (overrated) band like Aerosmith any day over the likes of Five for Fighting and James Blunt.

That is all.

As much crap as Sheryl Crow has released as "music", her second, self-titled release was quality.... and yes, those listed above qualify for "dog-food Friday".

I really don't have a problem with Sheryl Crow I just wouldn't feature her for that show ever. I'd be more inclined to Hart or the Pretenders

Once you get past her brown fingers and the shit under her fingernails, I have no problem with Crow. Heart? Pretenders? Much like Mac and Harry, their older than dirt - keep 'em. Move with the times.

We're long overdue for a Foo Fighters Friday, or what the hell, do a Dave Grohl Friday, and mix the Foos with Nirvana.

While listening to the show, I enjoy Jurko's thoughts on music the most. He keeps them to himself for the most part. ;)

....Velvet Revolver would be a nice change of pace too - they've got a new album comin' out soon.

So you're saying death isn't an option?

Actually, I'm surprised Larry fessed up to those bands, that should really hurt his street cred of being a loud, mean, punch-throwin kinda guy. Maybe he's just trying to show his sensitive side to the ladies.

Mac, you enjoyed the Wolfmother cd. Now step up to the plate and make them a feature artist.

Wolfmother is a quality band. Been listening to them for a few years now. If you want a good hidden gem in rock music check out "Wolf Parade".

Dont forget, Larry mentioned AFI. And dont forget, he was talking about all of those bands because he thought "music dorks" liked them. Uh, no Larry. Amy Winehouse is the Justin Timberlake of nasty british bitches, great music but horrible songs.

No, known about them for a couple years or so. Gave Mac their disc back in january because it sounded like a current band McNeil would actually listened to.

Madden 07 for me, and I grew to hate it after going through six or seven seasons in a month.

Even though I made the cut off jeans and rollerblading joke, I must also admit that I like Crow. Then again I don't listen to that much music and know nothing about the industry.
