While I believe that Mac has no respect for Harry's ability, he also knows that they are the #1 show in their format for several years running. |

I think Jonathon Hood is the Rob Mackowiak of ESPN Radio 1000... Fills in when the starters are away, and ALWAYS has the potential to hit a walk off homer. ...of course he's been known to bobble a ball in center every now and again too. |

This isn't a sports team where a player must be replaced. If Harry were no longer part of the show, why would he have to be replaced? And more to the point, I'm not sure Mac is trying to provoke anything. He just reported on their conflict a few times in the context of what was happening at the time. And part of their formula is that occasional conflict keeps things spicy. At times, it's part of the schtick. I wouldn't read anything more into it. |

It's a simple case of displacement. Since Mac is on vacation from the board - where his last post provoked the W-2 war between Nas & SID, his only instigatory(?) outlet is his co-workers. He keeps scab picking with Zetterman(sp) by refusing to call him the EP of the show (not THE Show), and he's stirring crap between Jurko & Harry. I fear that if he doesn't return to the board soon, the show (not THE Show) will suffer beyond repair. Actually, I suspect he's already here as either HUGE, or andyROONEY |

Then we'd be left with four hours of Mac trying to keep Jurko awake by himself. |

He reminds me of that nerd growing up that was always there and you made fun of him. When some other group of kids made fun of him you stuck up for him because he was your nerd. Harry's the MJH nerd and without who will we make fun of and tease? |

Every group of friends has a guy known as "That fuckin guy". He's the asshat who always seems to make it to the group outing, or road trip. No one likes him. It's always "How did THAT fuckin guy make it here" or "Who invited that fuckin guy?". |

spmack - good alignment. He is a that guy, for some reason i think the show is better with all three of them together. I might be brainwashed. |

It seems to me that Mac is actively trying to provoke a fight between Jurko and Harry. Mac has also said things to the effect that he wants Jurko as a partner regardless of what happens at ESPN. So where does that leave Harry if there is an on-air brawl? Also, with Waddle and Silverman now on in the mornings, DeFalco and Dickerson at night, where does that leave J. Hood? Currently spot duty but, if there's another incident, wouldn't J. Hood be first in line to take the spot? He has (questionable) drive-time experience, but experience nonetheless. Better question, I guess: is this what Mac wants? Lose the fountain of useless information, the master of overstatement, the failed comedian, the only person on radio who's family pays the station to appear, the pussy of all pussies, the simplest of all simples, the whinest of all whiners-- nah, that could never happen. The world could never be that lucky. |

"Saved By the Bell" references? Please turn in your "Man Cards" as you sign off for the day (obviously Spaulding and Houston Homer are exempt). |

B&B got me for my entire ride home today. When Hood subs on MJH that's an automatic "no listen at all" for me. |
