I kinda missed part of it, but did Harry "take the long way" to get back home to Evanston Friday night? Shit, I hope he finally threw away those directions to Buffalo Wild Wings in Woodridge |

DEEPEST condolences to Frank C for having to listen to Denver sports talk. Other than Miami, probably the worst I've ever heard. |

Ryan, what does 294 and Halsted have to do with anything? Why would Harry be on 294 anyways... he lives in Skokie, doesn't he? He should have taken 190 to I-90 to I-94, not 294. ...and Ryan I heard Harry say your getting married. Congrats. I also heard some other cheap shot, but I'll leave that one alone. |

The best way back to Evanston from Shoeless Joe's is Devon all the way to Mc Cormick and Mc Cormick to wherever he lives. No expressways and several long stretches without a traffic light. |

I live in Evanston and was pretty confused when he was heaping praise on 294 (to get to SJ's). Why go that far out of your way? GD has it right, Devon is great for getting (south) west from Evanston. |

Devon is one alternative, but it's too congested for my tastes. From Shoeless Joe's last Friday, I took Mannheim north to Oakton and then Oakton east. I heard Harry protesting last night that Ryan was too strong with his questioning of Harry's condition to drive that night. Apparently, Ryan was wondering whether Harry was too drinky. Good job Ryan. I wish more people asked those questions about their friends' fitness to drive and encouraged friends to take cabs. I had left by then, but the evidence suggests Harry was in no condition to drive. My evidence: Here we have a lifelong North Shore guy who couldn't find his way home from Rosemont. Too Dumb? Possible. Too Impaired? Far more Likely. I'm just thankful that getting lost was the only outcome of his choice to drive home. |

Yea, if that's the attitude he wants to take about it, then I'll never bother to look out for him again. I think he could probably drive fine, but i questioned whether he was over .08. I was just trying to protect him from the embarrassment of getting pulled over and having to deal with that. What if he drove up to a spot check on a road somewhere? It does happen. All I was trying to do was have him think about what he was doing. This was completely unrelated to Josh Hancock. I've always made sure my buddies make the right move when they decide to leave the bar. I've seen this stuff ruin people, reputations, and put hardships on families. And its happened on one incident occassions when someone probably could drive home but is over the limit. I've never attempted to drive when i shouldn't be, but I always appreciate if a friend asks how I'm getting home. |

So you LIKE driving through construction? I've been avoiding Oakton recently due to the roadwork. I'll still take Devon east to Crawford (north) to Oakton as it's four lanes. The only caveat is getting stuck at the Metra tracks. And oh yeah...drunk driving is bad. I think it's rare to have someone who has been drinking, be convinced by friends to turn over his/her keys. Chances are if they drove there, they're driving home no matter what anyone says. I've never seen that situation end well. If the friends care enough to be persistent, it usually turns violent. |

Makes you wonder how often Harry does drive well over the legal limit? Giving you a hard time just makes him a bigger putz than I already thought he was. |

If the police are looking to pad their DUI stats, I'm sure attending an MJH remote might net them one drunk driver. Harry shouldn't brag about doing so many shots, in such a short amount of time, and then getting behind the wheel of a car. He's putting a bullseye on his back. |

all we did was ask if he was o.k. he said he was fine. what else can we do? now if, he got up and fell over....that's a different story. Ryan and I also were discussing how torched Harry was at the Manniversary broadcast until someone stuck a plate of food in front of him...afterwhich he was fine. I unfortunately asked Harry how he was getting home probably 2 minutes after Ryan did at Joes. Harry was appreciative of our concern and told me as much then. 6 shots, yes....6 shots in 90 minutes? (7-8:30) no. b/c we (harry and I) did the first one at the 5 o'clock break. |

I have over celebrated on occasions, I’m guilty of having one too many, and have at times used booze to cope with stress or relax. When not pregnant, I enjoy a drink or two 3 or 4 times a week and I’m far from perfect. Am I the only one who thinks it’s sad for a forty-something year old man to take pride in the fact he can do 6+ shots in 90 minutes and then get behind the wheel of a car and drive home to his wife and two children? There is nothing wrong with doing one or two shots, then saying I’d love to do more but I’m driving. I like Harry on the show, but I think it makes him look like an ass. And what are his co-hosts suppose to say? Wow Harry that’s uh really cool of you man. Way to impress our audience the 18 – 35 years old males are all a bunch of immature boobs. They’ll think it’s totally awesome too. Would anyone really be surprised if Harry was involved in a Hancock type accident? |

Your kids should grow up without a father b/c you won't fork out $40 from your 6-figure salary to get home safely? People who do this regularly... man, I don't know. It's tough to summon any respect for them at all. So if I made $50thd a year it'd be ok to skip the cab based on my own economic conditions? Regularly? Once is too often and yes guilty as charged. Tales are been told out of school. Can we move on. "Let it go"! |

Pregnant or not I still think it's juvenile to brag about how much you drink. Leave it to the prom going 17 year olds who get somebody to buy them Boone's Farm and Amaretto so they can make stone sours. I didn't think he seemed impaired, just dumb to advertise his actions with arrogance. |

do you truly think he did that though? being juvenile and bragging? harry is a really smart guy. he has a cynical but jovial look on life and that's why i like him so much. i think he plays the part more often than not. our concern was legitimate, but i don't know Harry that well to know. the guys are talking about hanging out and having fun with us and it turns into something else. how familiar is that... what the fuck is wrong with us lately? this board needs an enema. |
