Just because this section seems to have gotten a bit stale, I Googled Jurko and found this gem: http://eiuhalloffame.com/jurkovich/jurkovich.html "The school’s best football player: a mediocre lineman. " |

Quote: Pretty beat up after the break, Jurko went to the Ravens and spent his final year -- 1999 -- with the Cleveland Browns, where he performed heroically despite his paper mashie knees.
"paper mashie" knees? Isn't that an antique golf club? |

My favorite part was this: Quote: After dominating opposing players and fellow students alike, Jurko was signed in 1990 as an undrafted free agent by the Miami Dolphins. After refunding his dinner on Dan Marino's floor, he was unceremoniously cut by the Dolphins. He was signed by the Green Bay Packers in 1991, was cut and later placed on the practice squad. He was activated to play later that year and got one solo tackle in five games.

Nice job by them screwing up the call letters, unless I missed Jurk doing Chili Peppers cuts on Two-fer Tuesday: Quote: In 2001 he was named to the 3 to 6 p.m. slot at ESPN's radio station in Chicago, WLUP AM 1000.

Yeah. I don't believe that article represents the pinnacle of reporting (or grammar). |

Maybe Jurko wrote it himself. |

"The school’s best football player: a mediocre lineman. " Good thing for Jurko, Romo dropped that field goal snap in the playoffs. |

The article also fails to mention that Jurk supplied Brett Favre with pain killers and 12 packs of Nattie Lites ... |
