Post subject:  Cubs Emulate MJH?

Friday, after the Cubs fight, Bruce Levine said on MJH "you never like to see this in sports." In sports? Why specify sports? What business does Bruce like to see fights among teammates? Perhaps Bruce's favorite business for fights among teammates is the radio talk show business. Nothing like a good fight in that business to spice things up. As we approach the one-year anniversary of the Mac-Harry dustup June 9, the Cubs could take a page out of the MJH playbook to resolve this thing. First, Zambrano and Barrett can have their agents talk to Teddy Greenstein, who can serve as the go-between in negotiating their punishments in the media. Then they can bring in their union reps. to negotiate on their behalf through Teddy's column. Then, a Feder-like media figure can take cheap shots at management (Marriotti is good at that) to try to spur them to take action. Finally, Lou Piniella can take Spaceball's lead and resign his job out of frustration. After Piniella admitted he "didn't know what to do" and then going out and pulling that clown act on Saturday, it seems he's already resigned mentally anyway.

A long time ago, when I was employed, I'd like to have punched a few of my co-workers. It might have made me a more productive and happy employee.

I know when I am 3/4 through a power point presentation and beginning to fatigue and my boss pulls me for the fresher co-worker I have been tempted to deck him. He, however, is 61 so that probably wouldn't go over too well.

Spaulding, that is why I became self-employed. Now I just abuse myself.

Nothing wrong with giving yourself a good whacking every now and then.
