I'm cringing as I'm sitting here listening to Harry talk about the ghost of Harry Caray dragging a ball into the vines and lifting them to various victories. He's saying "other" people said it at the time, but it sounds like something that someone with Harry's 10 year-old mentality/view of sports would eat up with a spoon. It sounded like Mac and Jurko wanted to either leave the studio or push him out a window. |

We all have Happy Harrys around the office. No matter how the Cubs are doing, they always think things are going well. |

I always thought the appeal of the Cubs was that they were always worse off than I was/am in real life. Kind of like the first few fan sequences we see in Major League. I take a very realistic view with my Cub fandom. They suck.. simple as that. I don't anticipate they will ever get better and I'm consistently proven right. Keeps life simple. Optimism toward the Cubs simply leads to ulcers and alcoholism. |

I would have taken the ghost of Johnny Johnson this past Illini football season. |

Must have been a slow day in sports - Harry is taking his 'Cub fan schtick' to new levels of homerism. |

Being a Cub fan should make you embarassed enough, |

Everything is balloons and rainbows in Harry's world. I fall off my chair the few times he's actually objective. Nothing is worse than his "I'm a Cubs fan but I root for the Sox" garbage. |

The Care Bears cartoon is actually loosely based on Harry's life story. |

which care bear is it that does multiple shots of tequila then drives home? ill admit, if the sox swept id be talking shit too, but id also realize that my team sucks and this is nothing more than yet another reason to raz cubs fans. im sure it was nice for the cubs fans to see a sweep and take 5 of sox from the sox, but lets face it, unless you do something like that against the brewers, its meaningless. |

Harry is the one who charges up stupid Cub fans with nonsense. So don't complain about chirping without shutting up idiot Harry. His schtick is getting old, he said he has 3 months to worry about catching the Brewers. Worry now my friend Brewers are 8-2 last 10 and play most of their remaining games against the central and other bottom feeder teams. Cubs have to win both of the series against them and a big one right around the corner. |

Frank - I'm a Cubs fan and I do realize that this series sweep doesn't mean a damn thing overall. All this weekend was is a "mediocre at best" baseball team beating up on an underachieving one that quit weeks ago. We Cubs fans will use this as fuel in our arguements with Sox fans because of the rivalry, but overall, it doesn't change the fact that the Cubs are struggling in the worst division in baseball. It's the classic "tallest midget" thing. |

That's why I don't mind all of the chirping. If the Sox had swept, Sox fans would have been treating it as the biggest thing to happen since the World Series. We would have heard a lot of "Well, we suck, but at least we swept the Cubs!" Well, as a Cub fan, the Cubs may still suck, but at least they took 5 of 6 from the Sox!! |

Realistically speaking, there is a much better reason to be embarassed to be a Cub fan. I say this as a Cub fan. |

I'd settle for .500 first. You do not understand Cubs fans like you think you do. |
