I like the fact that there is someone on the show who's opinons differ from those of the other hosts, even if I do not completely agree with them.

He can get a little too big for his britches.

with the elastic waistband and all.

Shut up, Harry! You're giving even asshat Cubs' fans a bad name.

I've never heard someone slobber so obnoxiously over a team that's 6 games over .500 and 3.5 out of first in July! They're playing good baseball, and they're a fun team to watch. I get it.

People don't tune to talk radio to hear over-the-top, childish optimism--at least I don't--they want to hear real analysis and opinions. I can't even make it more than one segment these days before looking anywhere else on the dial.

I hope Mac is back sooner rather than later to save this sinking ship. In the meantime, can somebody, anybody, please put a muzzle on Harry?

Some of the problems that have arisen seem to stem from Harry thinking he is hot shit. I do think he has an important role in this show but when he deviates from it things go south. He can get a little too big for his britches.

Harry would be perfect for a Saturday 10-2 show when you're out running errands.

But you can't deny that the guy watches sports, prepares for the show, and brings passion.

I think Harry is okay and an important part of the show. There are some things he does or says that I don't care for but I don't dislike him as others seem to. I can see why others don't like him and was offering my opinion on why that is. That's all.

The fact that this guy still has a job in afternoon drive in a major market is beyond me. The over the top cheerleading and the third grade jokes are an embarassment. Mac, do yourself a favor, and get away from this ass clown.

I like Harry. I find him pretty funny most of the time. The over the top stuff is just who he is and I know it's not for everybody. He takes a beating on the show, and rightfully so. But the show would not be as succesfull as it has been without Teinowitz.

Speaking as a Cub fan, even I can't listen to his Cub fellatio the last couple days. I know he is the token homer for the show, but it really has gone over the cliff lately.

There is no real way to explain it, dolphin. If I had to put my finger on it, I would say some people enjoy hearing Jurko & Mac bash Harry for the sometines ridiculous thoughts he puts out. I like the fact that there is someone on the show who's opinons differ from those of the other hosts, even if I do not completely agree with them. If I wanted to listen to a couple of jerks who act like they're too cool for the room and don't really care one way or another about sports....

Harry and Mac usually disagree which helps foster conversation. Jurko tends to agree with almost everything Mac says which is a little boring. Look at the comments about B&B. I think Harry's presence also keeps the show light. They make fun of him and it helps to keep the show entertaining. Some days, I can handle it better than others, but more often than not, Harry drives me nuts too. I'm a Cubs fan and he's been making me sick lately. It's all part of Harry's same old shtick and we appear to be stuck with it. I have noticed that I am more tolerant of Harry when Mac is around. It will be nice to have my radio show back when Mac returns next Wednesday.

I've occasionally been a Mac critic in the past, but I would have to say that I've really come to appreciate what he brings to the table. The last few weeks the show has been almost unlistenable. IMO Mac's real talent may be his ability to keep the others in check - thus minimizing their weaknesses. When Mac is gone, Harry is like a kid away at college for the first time - over the top giddiness. And Jurko's stilted way of talking is more pronounced and very irritating. Carmen just doesn't have what it takes to drive the show.

No. I wouldn't say gimp, just follow his cohosts' lead. The problem most people seem to have with Harry is the belief he has flitted though life and fallen ass backwards into his job with little or no real talent. He hasn't worked or struggled, his success is more of a facade. When his unfounded smugness creeps in, the audience gets really annoyed with him. He believes he is the star, he is really funny, and he's got great radio bit ideas. If he stuck to his role, he wouldn't be getting on everybody's nerves as much. He needs a stronger personality, Mac or someone like him, to prevent him from doing that.

Listening to Harry after the Cub game today, ripping on Jones, just shows how little the asswipe knows about baseball. Turned him off. As long as the shithead stays on the show and speaks for more than 5 minutes per hour, I'm gone. Sorry Mac. Finji, cut off his mic!! Spaulding, you are correct about this loser.

Harry's over the top homerism is quite aggravating at times - especially to White Sox fans, and his humor is hit and miss. But you can't deny that the guy watches sports, prepares for the show, and brings passion. The same can't be said for other people in Chicago sports radio.

I think he fits well when you have a stronger driver of the show, like Mac, to keep the show moving, and on focus.

I had no use for Harry before the MJH show but he's grown on me over the years and he's predictable on many topics and play's the homer card to much but like I said before on a personal level he's a very warm and fuzzy guy. I tend to cut people slack who might not be the most talented person but they show up for work and show passion in what they do and I think Harry does that. Would he be successful without Jurko and Mac? From what I've heard from Harry in the past I would say no, but he found his calling when Mac was forced to take him on as a partner and I feel Harry has helped make the show what it is today. I think we all agree that without Mac the show suffers and I 've been asking myself what makes Mac so good at what he does and I just don't have an answer. I think all 3 of the guys are very , very passionate in what they do and having met a few radio guys over the years they are the most fan friendly guys you ever want to meet. Silverman and Carm are two guys I can say the same thing about. Even Northie was a fun down to earth guy we had a few pops with at Batsta Pasta one night. Getting Big Timed by Steve Dahl some 16 years ago when I went up to him at a bar in Joliet to tell him I was a fan and extened my hand and he turned away and ordered a drink and ignored me and my wife was the biggest dick move anyone could of done. That was the last time I ever tuned into the piece of garbage. Mac actually held me and hugged me when I put my hand out to say hello.
