It sounds as if we are a couple of weeks from a time change for the show. Hopefully the 6 o'clock hour stays and it is 2-7.

Well, I think they should kill the "unplugged" hour then. I can understand why they have it, but for the normal folks that have a 5-6 commute... it kinda sucks if we have to listen to nothing but unplugged. (Some of us can't listen to streaming at work).

2-6 would suck.

Yes, I like that they go until 7 - 6-7 is still rush hour traffic for a lot of people, much more than 2-3 (though all the afternoon shows start at 2, so I understand the thinking behing moving the start time back).

An hour less of anything coming out of the Mothership is a bonus.

Anyone who takes over for the vacant Dan Patrick(SOME MAY say that chair has BEEN VACANT FOR A YEAR) is going to blow donkeyballs. I've taken a sampling of the douchebags who've been sitting in and it's unlistenable.

Stephen A Smith is the Africian american version of Jim Rome , Gotleib, Coward, Linda Cohen , blow balls and any Sports Center fill in feels he's too big for radio and it's all about them. Either extend Waddle or Silvvy or do what the Score does and splilt the time between slots and give Hood and JD 2 hours and Waddle and Silverman 2 hours and start MJH at 2pm .

I have to say I disagree with you. I love the "unplugged" hour, which includes Harry's best segment, the Almanac.

Can someone explain the rationale behind moving to 2-6? I know that their direct competition is on 2-6, but what other reason is there to make the move?

I assume most people get out of work at 5:30 or so and can only hear the last hour and a half...

Mark me down as another one that favors 3-7 and the unplugged hour. I listen to a good deal of sports radio on average, but the 6-7 hour is usually the one I hear most often. That hour is solidly on MVP as opposed the the Sox pregame or Score amateur hour. And as I said I listen to a lot of sports radio (as well as board and other internet activity) so I'm pretty sick of the same topics I've been hearing all day and the unplugged hour is perfect.

I love the unplugged hour to go over some other guy type topics. I favor the 2-6 hour because I am int he Eastern Time Zone and when she gets home at 5:30pm she can only listen to one Chicago guy talk sports not 4. So starting at 2pm for me would give me another hour to listen which is nice.

If I wanted unplugged, I'd switch to another channel. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the jokes interspersed, but I want sports. If I have to hear an hour about Jurko flatulation at the expense of missing a Lance Briggs interview... I'd likely switch the dial.

If you listen hard enough, you can hear the Good Kid snore spontaneously during the unplugged hour.
