Post subject: | Adrian Peterson Question |
I've heard Mac say that Peterson has trouble expressing himself. Does he have a speech impediment or something that prevents him from talking to the media? |

I think it was a stuttering problem. I also seem to remember a story about him improving his speech impediment. |

Never knew that. I hope he finds some relief and gets some peace in his life (if he doesn't have it already). He's already risen above his setback to be a good NFL RB. |

I'm a big fan of Peterson. The guy has worked his ass off, and now will be getting an opportunity to get some carries on Sunday on a more regular basis. |

He has a MAJOR league stuttering problem. Didn't stop him from getting a commercial endorsement a few years ago running the stands for RUSSELL Athletics. |

I love guys like him. They make it easy to root for them. But, please don't let him overcome it to the extent Bill Walton did. |

he's a 6th round pick, so he most likely wasn't supposed to make the team. He's always done what's been asked of him and has alwyas looked happy to do it. After this season in 2005: 76carries 391yds 5.1avg. 2td's 21st downs most guys would have held out for a bigger role & more money, he didn't and this year will get his chance to be a true #2. |

I remember Lovie Smith made a comment that as long as he is coaching the Bears, Adrian Peterson will have a spot on the team. Adrian Peterson sounds like a great player for the Bears for his role. I don't know if he can ever be an every down back, but he is a great backup plan. |

during the Super Bowl run last year he was on the Drex AM show (happened to catch it on scan-mode) and I can see why he doesn't do more media. It was painful, I really felt bad for Adrian. Although he was doing it to get public interest in an event he and some other Bears had going on at the MLK center that day. |

Apparently AP isn't alone with his stuttering problem on the Bears: http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com ... -headlines |
