I've just noticed that ole Grobber is getting a lot of mentions of late. Fine by me; if he tells you something, attribute the info to him... I just have a suspicion we're getting mentions for other reasons. Is he reaching for a new slot? Maybe if the Patrick slot gets free, Carmen and JD gets it, and Grobber gets the early evening show... Just a thought, |

Just a thought, I would much rather have him on in the evenings. Move "the show" to the Patrick slot and give Les the post MJH slot. But, I am sure that is not enough Bristol based crap. |

Nice of you guys to think of me,and I know the boys(MJH)bring my name up on occaision(I consider them all Pals),,but I have not yet met or spoken to Justin Craig and the only time I ever met Jim Pastor was about 2 years ago when I was doing ND pre & post 2 floors above 1000 at WLS. Jim seemed like a friendly guy,but he introduced himself,we exchanged pleasentries and that was it. In other words,,,nothing happening! Also, I would doubt the Network would allow them to dump a mid-day ESPN show to go even more local. I learned that during the 2 years(late 2002-2004)I spent there. [/b] |

Funny you mentioned it. I spoke with the likely Co-Auther Thursday and it's getting a bit closer. Can't say when it will be published,,I'd say a good year away at least, but it should be worth the wait(except for those who get 'torched' in it). I am on CLTV Sunday night with host Lou Canellis and Jessie Rogers on the 'Round Table' at 9pm. Never know what I may say there!! |

It's our job, to give El Justine ideas/thoughts... Whether Network will be as possessive of the midday slot has yet to be determined, considering it's losing what was one of their flagship personalities. I mean, if Berman were to take over the slot, then keeping that attitude would continue to make sense. The fill-in guys we've had, not so much... |

Les it's always awesome to catch you. I've enjoyed you from the early 80's from your WLS days with Lujack. You've contributed much to sports broadcasting in this city, and in particular your play-by-play style. Crisp, accurate, exciting; your calls always mattered to those of us who want announcers to articulate what is happenning before the crowd 'tells' us. If before I pass I can here once again somewhere your UIC basketball call of that 4-point play years ago that tied a game at the buzzer I will go away happy. Back now to the mjh thread; just wanted to say that. |
