Heard a segment today, and it was fine...Harry is somewhat kept in line with Hood and Carmen there today. |

I've only listened when B&B have been at commercial and it was okay I guess. B&B have really stepped up their game recently so I don't know if I'll even come back to listening regularly when Mac comes back. |

Heard a brief exchange, where Harry brought up how Carmen and JD together sometimes makes uncomfortable radio. Hood then said "I thought Dan McNeil was off today." Hood kind of got in defense mode saying he and Carm are fine, and what have you... but the whole thing was probably just an inside joke. Still made for an interesting exchange between the three for about five minutes or so. |

I couldn't tell you much, but I did tune in yesterday just long enough to hear them try to answer a question from a listener/emailer about what to do in Pittsburgh for fans who follow the Cubs there. For somebody like me who used to live there, that was a pretty amusing exchange. The yuppie bar Harry recommended, which he said Harry Caray used to talk about, (Froggy's in Market Square) has been closed for several years. Thanks for the tip, Harry. I'm sure the Cubs fans who take your advice will think highly of you for recommending a bar that's been closed for 5 years or more. JD has been there covering games and all he could recommend were the dives around the stadium? That's like telling someone who has never been to Chicago, "check out Jimbos". Pretty lame advice. Carmen is like 30 years old and he said all he has ever done is "drive by" Pittsburgh and never stopped? Huh? WTH is that? Have any of us ever driven by any major city that we've never visited and not even peeked at it? Carmen is obviously not a very inquisitive guy. All of us who travel on business surely have some idea of where to go in a city after we've been there once or twice. Not these guys, apparently. Oh well. They live in Chicago, not Pittsburgh. I won't judge them harshly about it, but it was a very clueless moment. The sad part is Harry and JD acted like they knew what they were talking about. In such cases, "I don't know" is a perfectly acceptable answer. When are Mac and Jurko coming back again? This show is on life support until then (or until Hood gets the opportunity to drive it). |

Well, it's O.K., not great. Hood adds a nice touch. I think the guys are back on 8/20. Bitch. Ooops, I meant 9/3. |

You should probably cut Carm some slack there Coast. A buddy of mine and me drove by (through) Atlanta without stopping or peeking at it. Of course it was at night and during a 22 hour drive from Ft. Lauderdale to Chicago. |

Hearing the bit again was bad, but hearing Plesac's voicemail in the open was pretty funny. He basically confirmed what all of us and Carmen all said - Mac would be PISSED if he knew that bit went over the air! |

These two, Hoodie in particular, love to take shots at the Rico and Rosie show. Last week Carmen mentioned that a group of MVP fans referred to "a former show host here as Uncle Rico," and yesterday Hood made some comments about Salisbury and then did the same, "Rosie? Am I hot? Rosie?" |

Hood is doing his usual good job. He s/b driving. Harry is suprisingly restained, which is due in no small part to the recent Cub struggles. Just heard he will be on holiday next week. Maybe he'll blaspheme someone and get an extra day or 2 Carm is just, well Carm. My hope is Mac and Jurko next week, sans 3rd wheel. |

BTW, W Z, sorry to beat you out to win the AB gift card on Friday. If it's any consolation, I've yet to hear from them re: when to expect it. Maybe I should get WR on it for me... |

Maybe I should get WR on it for me... You beat me? I didn't know I was a finalist, I had to leave work and hop on a train with no radio, so I didn't find out. I heard them read it, which was cool enough. Congrats! Now if it was a triple threat sports jersey on the line... |

Ok, I heard it. How stupid can you get. The Plesac add was classic though. |

Coast, seeing as how it has become my duty to disagree with you, I will. I did NOT stop in Detroit on my way to Toronto, and from most accounts, neither does anyone else. |

I wonder if the score is this bad with giving out gifts? Or if they give out that many gifts at all? |

I really don't understand what goes on over at 1000 when it comes to getting your stuff. I had to get upper management involved to get my auction items I won from the MJH golf outing. No one knew what was going on and phone calls were not returned and finally I had to call Adam Delevet and he got it done. I'm still waiting on my Norte Dame package. |

it goes to promotions once its won on a show, and it sounds like they dont know thier ass from a hole in the ground. i talked to jurko, zederman, and some promotions guy at a remote to finally get the gift certificate i won at least thats what ive been told, but i dunno how entirely true that is. about 2 weeks after i won my gift certificate, my dad called in to silvy and waddle and won one of those norelco shavers (on a firday show), and it came in the mail i think wednesday or thursday of the following week. |

I wouldn't mind Hood so much if he didn't take someone else's joke/schtick and beat it into the ground everytime. Carmen's impersonation of Gumbel last night was hillarious. Hood was funny with it too early on, but after the 100th "let's move on" it got old. |
