He would at least be fun to kill a handle of Cuervo with. I bet he would be more fun than Mac or Jurko after 10 shots............

I like Harry. I really do. I think he is great with Mac and Jurko. The problem is that he thinks his act is coming off as the truth. I expect sports talk radio, not absolute homerism. Lou Pinella is not the greatest manager in history(but may be manager of this year). Devin Hester is not the greatest kick returner ever(but is a great returner). Don't go so over the top with your homerism to the point of lunacy and most people will be fine with your act.

His act works, but he went way too far. There is a certain population that wants to hear nothing but superlatives thrown at everything. The secret is to find a happy medium between the people that want to hear that and the people that want to hear actual sports talk.

The show would not be the same without Harry(even though the fill-ins this week did a good job) but if he can't get over the fact that for the past month or two his over the top fake antics have turned people off then it may be time for a change.

Thumbs up to the fill-ins, and specifically today I enjoyed Finji. He may have been raw, but he had enough of an edge to him that satisfied me. Finji deserves a chance to show his stuff, as does Jonathan Hood.

I agree overall, but I am not a Hood fan. I dont hate on the brother but he is very clearly meant to drive his own show in my opinion. He is very awkward in the 3rd seat and it is by far not is forte. Like I have stated previously, I believe Harry is very genuinely a good guy, and in terms of life and attitude I actually feel like there is alot Mac, Jurko, and everybody here could learn from his philosophy, but I also believe he is very clearly not cut out for sports radio. Maybe it is the Jimmy Carter Corrorlary where he is too good of a person to be a President/Sports Radio Host. I for one am guilty of going too far in the Harry personal attacks as are many people, and hopefully people besides mysef will also recognize him for the good person he is/seems to be

Disclaimer.... I have not ever personally met Harry, this all is based solely on intewrpretation and 2nd hand accoutns fromt other users here

I love the time he listened to Woodridge Ryan's advice and didn't dog him out on the radio. That one was my favorite!

Harry's dimwitted homerism and inept analysis would have made him a wonderful contributor to "The Sports Huddle."

Has Mac ever said why the seem so intent on having a three-man show? Is it mandated by management or just what he prefers?

I initially didn't like listening to Harrry at all. Then I met him at a few remotes- and after meeting him in person I started to enjoy him better on the air. I think he has just gone over board a bit and then everybody pounces on him. I can't believe I am going to say this, but I actually agree with Keeping Score  that it is a little childish calling others out on the air.
Lord knows (if they wouldn't get fired or suspended) what my co-workers would day about me. I guess I don't get why you would want to hurt someone's feelings. And I would think that where ever Harry goes and whatever he does those sound bites are available for any future boss. Kinda hurts the resume.
Spmack- wouldn't you agree? You are the PRO at resumes!!!!!!!!!!!

I really disagree about the worth of Harry to the show. I thought all 5 shows this week were far superior to any of the shows over the last 6 months that included Harry. It is not just his over the top homerism. It is his simplistic knowledge of sports in general and his apparent desire to be the only one heard on the show. He disrupts the flow of the show, prevents any meaningful discussion and is a waste of time with his constant interruptions. His sports knowledge seems to consist of trivia.

I just think the show is much better without him and if he stays, the ratings slide will continue. I know I will listen far less and maybe not at all if Harry stays.

I think he just enjoys threesomes.

Honestly though, I think Mac would actually like it if Harry was gone. This week he mentioned that the ribbing they do on the air is usually just in jest, but he stressed usually.

I know at the time he was referring to Carm and Silvy's "lover's quarrel", but I think he meant that his insinuations about not wanting Harry back may actually be sincere.

Harry and Coppock would be interesting

If it was Harry and Silvy - would you even be able to distinguish them based on voice?

I think Harry and Murphy would be the ideal combo, can you even imagine that show?

When talking about tequila, Harry always mentions Jose Cuervo. Shouldn't a man of Harry's means, step up and drink real tequila.

They would be historically shitty radio.

when the show is in top form, harry is perfect for the 3rd chair. however, the show has been anything but lately (sans last week) so his over the top homerism has really grown stale and quite annoying. ive also met him at a few remotes, and definetly cares about the show and the listeners which, like jason, caused me to like his act a little more. lately its just been too much though. looking foward to next week's shows. all 3 will be back, football on the horizon, cubs in a pennant race, so there should be no shortage of topics

Hmmm...I've never had piss.

But I like tequila.

Piss would be cheaper.

But piss is, well, piss.

They are about the same color.

I'm conflicted with your recommendation.

I'm not recommending you drink either. As a doctor, you should already be aware of this, Ken.

Stay away from the piss that is fermented with asparagus. That one will give you a wild ride.

I listen to sports talk radio to be informed. Harry informs me. For example, from today's show, I learned from Harry's insight into the Cubs"

"I would suggest that the Cubs work on hitting home runs".

I can just hear Lou address his team now . . . "Hey guys --- will you start working on hitting home runs? Ok. Thanks."

It's deep insight like that from Harry, that I missed last week. He's a sports god.

BTW, the three of them sound very uncomfortable today.

Perhaps it's because one guy is on line readding message boards, one is surfing MILFhunter.com, and the 3rd one is just being himself.
