Im not sure if this qualifies but its annoying as hell. I turn on NBC's pregame show to catch some last minute pregame from 7:00-7:30 and they have some annoying woman singing in a concert. I cant stand when shows do this. We tune in for the football, not lame pop music. Thumbs down.

EDIT: I guess its a musical salute to the NFL season. I didnt read the info. Well with a program name like NFL Opening Kickoff 2007 thats a little misleading. Im tired of MTVesque shows like this. If you are going to put on a pregame show, put a real pregame show on. Its bad enough out "Opening Day" is on a Thursday

i see what you mean, but thats just how it is now. the concert didnt bother me near as much as that awful rendition of our nat'l anthem. i hate when people try to show off their vocal "abilties" during that song. just sing it and thats that. dont throw any extra notes in there and shit. there's a time and place to be self indulgent, and singing that song isnt it.

I'm boycotting the NFL season because of the Micheal Vick situation, so the pre game show was the only thing I had to watch.

Kelly Clarkson is the closest thing to an offensive lineman I'll see this season.

John Mellencamp and Faith Hill have gotten a little long in the tooth.

They age. Way back when horses were sold, the teeth were checked to tell how old they were. As they aged, their gums receded and the teeth appeared to be longer.

Reggie Bush should have borrowed Al Michaels's milk crate in that little sketch with Peyton Manning at the beginning of the game.

Wayne Messmer flaunts it a bit and he does a great job. Puts in a few extra notes.

The "OPERA" Bud Light commercial was incredibly funny.

Almost as funny as Drew Brees's passing stats.

thumbs down to peggy kuzinski (sp?). on NBC 5's 10pm new tonite, she was doing a piece on a tragedy in bears' rookie dan bauzin's (again, sp?? life and ended by saying "dan has only been in chicago a few months, and has not even played in a regular season game yet"

he's a rookie. the bears havent started the season yet. wouldnt it stand to reason that you do NOT need to mention that he hasnt played in a game yet? especially when you introduced the story as "Bears rookie Dan Bauzin..."

id like to meet a rookie from any team who has played in a regular season game before sept. 1st

Factually she's correct, but as you pointed out - it's some pretty meaningless stuff regarding his playing time, etc.

Her full point was that he hasn't even played in a regular season game yet but he's already helping local high school students deal with issues with suicide.... doesn't seem like such a dumb statement

i thought it was. you could have worded it differently. like "despite being a rookie in the NFL, he is already helping local high school kids..."

Anytime I think this might be true I have to remember the Hendrix guitar version to be brought back to reality. A great artist placing a personal stamp on an existing piece can occaisonally bring about great results.

I hear ya. She was always a little chubby, but in a decent normal way. Now...ofah. Also, whoever dresses her should be fired as tight pants are not made for big asses.

It reminded me of Superbowl, 1 play, 16 commercials, 1 play.....
The Pre Game "show" I thought was over the top. I can't wait for Sunday- a full day of NFL football.

I'd hit that.
