Post subject:  5 reasons to go to Blackhawks game
1) Where else in town can you buy a $10 ticket to a professional sporting event and then move to a $50 seat.

2) Taking a chick to her first hockey game (especially the sistahs) opens up lots of interesting avenues.

3) It's quiet so I can do my reading in peace.

4) Free street parking!

5) White guys beating the hell outta each other for no apparent reason is just something brothas find too funny no matter how many times you've seen it. It's the only place you can see white-on-white violence.

Even though I'm (allegedly) not a Hawks fan anymore...yeah, you're probably right. You can then join me in the smoking quarantine area outside the south gate of the stadium.

7. For you Sox fans who can't get enough Gene Honda, he's the Hawks' PA guy as well.

I thought it was some kind of a science experiment, like the fruit flies in a belljar.
I see moms with confused faced kids passing that area, point and say "see honey, that's a smoker." :wink:
It's the same confused look Cub fans get when they come to the cell and see the WS trophy.

Buy? There were several times last year that people posted codes for FREE tickets. I got 200 level tickets for nothing and found a street space.

By the way, if anyone has a code again this year, please post it.

That won't be til the end of the year when they are out of it if it does. Wirtz actually had the audacity (though audacity would infer that we should be surprised) to raise ticket prices this year.

In all actuality, I do see the Hawks fighting for a playoff spot this year, so the end won't come two weeks into the season like it did last year when Havlat and Handzus went down.

Wrong Section. I'm disappointed too, because apparently the NHL/Hawks section is in direct competition with the fledgling soccer section, and a few more posts would help to justify its continued existence.

Slappy, you'll go as long as calling 736-HAWK and asking for Mildred is a red-blooded American business expense.... not to mention the lease on the Hunker-Downer, gas, parking, the dessert cart! :lol: :wink: :D
