Carm said that Harry was nodding off during the Cubs game (game 1 or 2) in Arizona. Then he was 86'd by a bouncer when he fell asleep for good later on.

I'm not one to usually point fingers for this type of thing (I know I've been there), but wasn't it Harry's job to discuss and analyze the Cubs game 1 and 2 performances the following days from 2-6? So what is he doing dozing off drunk before the game is even over? It must be hard to give a competent analysis when you weren't even awake to see the whole game the night before.

That actually might explain some of his analysis.

when have you ever heard "competent analysis" from Harry? He's a clown and obviously an alcoholic one at that.

Someone should sit Harry down Clockwork Orange style, and make him listen to tapes of himself talking about the Cubs for the last few months. Maybe if he heard how stupid he sounded, he might stop being such an over the top homer.

Harry's job is to annoy us all and he does an admirable job.

We haven't heard the whole scoop about why he got thrown out so I think you guys are jumping to conclusions until we hear otherwise.

No major scoop, from what I heard--just falling asleep at the bar.

Apparently Dan Patrick must have been doing a remote for his new radio show.

Don't lump him in with alcoholic clowns--at least they're FUNNY every now and then.

I know it's sports-talk radio and expecting professionalism is probably too much to ask for, but one of the few things Harry has to do in order to do his job is to watch the games, and if this is true, then he was so f'ing drunk he couldn't even maintain consciousness long enough to do that.

I'm having trouble thinking of a job you could have that would allow you to be too drunk to do it and not get canned.

Harry Teinowitz: the pinnacle of class and professionalsim.

Nice Shakes reference, BTW, Exile. "Body of Binky..."

Tad,

You are the first person ever to refer to Harry as a "professional".

It's Harry's version of Mac's Sox post world series celebration. In typical Cub fashion Harry uses his celebration on a loss in an early round playoff game.
