1. HD is not kind to Dick Stockton. 2. The douche who was calling the Michigan / Purdue game who called "Selmon Lymon" "Lymon Selmon" almost the entire first half. 3. Harry on FFI. Almost every call was wrong. In particular he told a caller to take Benson over Berrian at the flex. Let's see, the Vikings are at the top of the NFL against the run, Benson blows. Vikings at the bottom against the pass, and Berrian gets a TD. Harry, please let your "expert" give his opinion first. He almost always agrees with you because he's just happy to be there, and knows that the station will NEVER EVER FIRE YOU. |

benson actually had a pretty good first half. but when you're giving up 5 miles in rush yards, and you're playing catch up for basically the entire 2nd half, you cant run much. and who gets the thumbs down for #1? FOX for putting an old guy on an HD feed, or dick stockton for looking older than really is? |

I also found it funny that they kept on saying "QB Painter". Hey Big Ten Network, your announcers should learn the first names of the quarterbacks in the game. |

Baldinger was pretty spazoidial about the Bears on-side kicking. Had they NOT on-side kicked, they wouldn't have had ALL that field for Devin Hester to sprint down and get wide open. He also said the Vikings didn't put their offensive players on the field in the waning seconds of the play clock so the Bears wouldn't have time to make any transactions. Substitutions perhaps. |

Nothing is worse than Bob Davie saying Tyler Standefield which is some strange combination of Taylor Stubblefield and John Standeford but that was a few years ago so I don't think it is eligible for critics. |

Thumbs down to Jurko for saying Belichick wasn't running the score up - despite the fact he didn't see the end of the game. First of all, he didn't see the end of the game, so how could he have an opinion on whether or not Belichick was running the score up? The Paaaatriots were winning by 14 (41-27) and had 4th and goal from the one yard line. A FG puts them up by 17 with 23 seconds left in the game - but the TD shoved it up Wade Phillips ass for saying Belichick's Patriots Super Bowl victories were tainted because he got caught stealing signals: Pats up 41-27 with 3:45 left in the game: 1-10-DAL 20 (3:45) 33-K.Faulk right tackle to DAL 18 for 2 yards (93-A.Spencer). 2-8-DAL 18 (3:02) 12-T.Brady pass short left to 83-W.Welker to DAL 20 for -2 yards (35-J.Reeves). Timeout #1 by NE at 02:13. 3-10-DAL 20 (2:13) (Shotgun) 12-T.Brady pass short right to 83-W.Welker to DAL 9 for 11 yards (51-A.Ayodele). Two-Minute Warning 1-9-DAL 9 (1:54) 33-K.Faulk right tackle to DAL 6 for 3 yards (96-M.Spears). Timeout #3 by DAL at 01:48. 2-6-DAL 6 (1:43) 38-K.Eckel up the middle to DAL 5 for 1 yard (99-C.Canty). 3-5-DAL 5 (1:09) 38-K.Eckel left tackle to DAL 1 for 4 yards (31-R.Williams). 4-1-DAL 1 (:23) 38-K.Eckel right tackle for 1 yard, TOUCHDOWN. 3-S.Gostkowski extra point is GOOD, Center-66-L.Paxton, Holder-6-C.Hanson. And don't even give me any crap about a blocked FG for a TD, followed by an onside kick and another TD. Dallas couldn't do anything right in the game. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/playbypla ... &week=REG6 |

Funny, because while I argued with that same guy about the Brees over Manning thing, I was almost shut out of having a column of mine up there for suggesting that Kurt Warner would be a nice supersleeper choice for fantasy leagues with expanded rosters (use him as your #3 QB). Which advice would have hurt you more in your league this year? Anyway, give Mr. Swaw some slack. This is his first full year of doing this with his website and he's done one hell of a job meeting the right people and getting his name out there. He's had some pretty big meetings over the past couple of months. I think trying to do what he's doing is a pretty hard thing to make money at, but he's doing a great job of growing his little business. I wish him the best, but will never take Brees over Manning. |
