This weight loss thing doesn't sound like a great idea but I have no experience in radio so whatever. You were looking for a guy more like Jurko for Harry, I nominate the guy that sang the No-no-nocioni song. He was about the size of Jurko in pictures but I'm sure you guys that were at the Man-iversary could shed more light. Just a thought, we are looking for the body double of Jurko in Chicago, not exactly a needle in a haystack?

Why isn't is a great idea? I think they should go out and ask for two other listeners to participate as well. Have all four of them do an initial weigh in and then do weekly weigh in's. A buddy of mine did this for his radio station and he lost over 100 pounds. It was pretty awesome.

Helping fat people loose weight is great, at 6 feet 215 pounds I could loose some myself. Just doesn't sound like great radio to me with a full sports load with footballs, basketball, hockey and others goings on.

I just started 2 weeks ago on a mission to gain 18 pounds in 6 weeks. Been working out like a madman and have so far gained 6. The last 12 are going to be difficult but it's a fun challenge to see if it's possible. I hate these damn protein shakes though.

I could partake in the festivities.

My 43rd B-day is Monday so I was gonna kick off a 'commitment to excellence' anyways. I'm on the fringes of an all-time high on ye olde scale.

Shit, I can probably gain that in no time. It's the losing part that's hard. I'll give you some tips. Don't exercise, eat big meals, and snack all day.

6'1"/235. Not a Jurko but still. Fighting weight is 175, we'll be thrilled if I get to 185. Will be glad to partake in the festivities.

I'm in. I need to drop about 20, and I'd like to do it by the time I go to Hawaii at the end of December.

I could also stand to lose the 20+ lbs. I've put on in the past year.

I'm also at an all-time high and not the good kind.

Maybe as motivation, we can agree to post "gut pictures" (as opposed to dick pictures) on a certain date as a way to shame us into getting into shape...

I want to stress that all my extra weight is gained by very natural means, including fast food, pizza, beer, liquor, pasta, sugary pop, and very very little exercise. In addition, unlike Mr Bonds and Mr Sosa, my new weight is heavily concentrated in the area generally known as gut.

I'm trying to lose 10-15 by Thanksgiving. I'm 6'2 210 right now, looking to get to 200, really 195 by the big eat day. I know I can do it, I've been clocked as high as 230 circa August 2006 and got all the way down to 200 in May.

West Loop Gym off of Grand just west of the Kennedy. Right here in the hood.

Edit: It's a really nice gym. Not very busy, pretty inexpensive, free parking, and they have the hottest masseuse in the world there. Had an hour massage this week and am still walking around with my head in the clouds.

I'll add mine to the tally. Started at 152 with goal of 170. About 3 weeks ago I had the body of a 12 year old girl. That had to end...
