Harry just said "What's this? Fee-Fi-Fo-Fee-Fi-Fo-Fo...it's Devin Hester giving his phone number." This was followed by silence from Jurko and Carmen. While Hester's powers of articulation are not exactly impressive, saying something like that on the radio these days does not seem like a smart move. |

...ya, and Jurko inflected the second syllable in Bob Babich's last name a bit and then apologized in the next segment. Could it be? Suspensions when Mac is OFF? WHO KNEW!!!! |

I caught it and pulled the covers over my head after he said it..Imus just lost his job for making remarks about Nappy Headed Hoe's and Harry's smart enough to know it only takes a phone call before Sharpton and Jessie are asking for his pink slip. Mac's back would feel a lot better if Harry was off it.

I heard it in the car too. I quickly tried to think of how that couldn't be racist to give Harry the benefit of the doubt. I don't think Harry is a racist but that is gonna piss off people. I think in these times of cencorship and thin skin Harry should know better. I think you can call Hester dumb. He is dumb. But you can't do it the way Harry did. Finji, don't make that the show open tommorow or you'll get in trouble too. Not that I need to tell you that. |

the way harry did it doesnt imply that he's dumb. the way harry did it implies that he talks silly because of his skin color. what does Darkside think of this?

I wouldn't go throwing the race card just yet. He said it after they had discussed who Hester probably wasn't the best choice for a Sprint Radio ad, since he isn't the most eloquent speaker. It had nothing to do with race. If you want to throw the book at Harry, do it because he's not funny. |

i still think its hester by far. urlacher may be acting like the dumbest right now, but i still think he gets higher on the IQ test than hester. the only way hester wins is if he handed off to Elaine thru the bedroom window |

True. Plus the big difference between Imus and Harry is that Imus had a huge audience, which obviously, Harry doesn't really have. |

Yeah, well by all acounts, Hester is smart enough to use a condom with his bitches. Not having kids with sluts is more important then an IQ test in my evaluation. |

I agree Harry did not mean this with malice and having met him a few times he's as down to earth as they come. I have no problem with it but someone with an agenda might and that's the sad thing. Harry has put his foot in his mouth before and has come on the air the next day to apoligize. I think that's all that will come of this.. I did find it funny when Jurko asked "Did that go out over the air"... Finji, where was the dump button ?

what if Harry did it without the "voice" or said it like the Giant in Jack in the beanstalk....still 'racist?' i don't think Hester is dumb at all. Just b/c the guy does not ennunciate very well you think he is dumb? Is Adrian Peterson dumb b/c he stutters? The amount of relative velocity, accelleration, and distance "equations" processing through Hester's brain requires some intelligence. |
