That performance was what the Edgar Bennett award is all about. A truly inspiring effort for all no-name running backs who are to tear up the Bears D in the future.

The award can't be given out if the Bears win that game. Despite a no name running back doing well the Saints lost. So no award is handed out. That's my rule.

He's Pierre Thomas.

The Bears should get him if they can't get Mendenhall.

I sent in an email on Friday to Carm/JD who were sitting in for MJH - and called it: Pierre Thomas of December '07 is comparable to Ray Zellers of October of '96. No-name Saints RB Ray Zellers rushed for career-high 174 yards - and P-Tom put up 200+ yards of rushing/receiving with a tuddie. Bob Babeotch is pepetuating a long time Bears tradition since Da Coach left the building.

Can the award be given to a Rookie? Who's to say that Thomas won't have a breakout year next season? Maybe a team takes a flier on him and gives him an opportunity as a 1 or 2.
