Nice interview. I like King, has even more energy than Red. Also it looks like someone on Wikipedia doesn't like Stacey's analysis too much... Ronald Stacey "Freeze it, now go ahead and roll it" King Quote: He joined the duo of Tom Dore and long-time Bulls broadcaster Johnny "Red" Kerr. His on-air habits serve to annoy the viewers of Comcast. Such habits include his famous 3 part phrase, which begins with "freeze it", when he desires a replay to be frozen. At this point, he channels his inner John Madden and uses the yellow marker, often unnecessarily, in order to create various lines and other shapes on the screen to illustrate his simple and often uninsightful observations. He then says "now go ahead and roll it", in which he repeats his simple and often uninsightful observation, just in case the viewer needed another explanation.

The game passed by Kerr some seasons ago. As a “color commentator” his only analysis comes during a replay, and then it never gets into any insight. King, on the other hand, sees what’s happening on the floor as it is developing. Also, he gives solid insight as to what is or isn’t happening. Most fans fail to grasp the subtle nuances of the game and even fewer could grasp a quick explanation. King is critical when appropriate but doesn’t go too overboard with his criticism, and is one of the few (imho) bright new voices to grace the Chicago airwaves in some time. |

It's good to see MJH is finally showing interest in the Bulls just as they become shitty again. I hear that Krispy Kreme stock is going to get hot |

High praise, indeed. Isn't that the equivalent of complimenting somebody's intelligence by saying "that guy's even smarter than Mike North!"? |

Or he's even smarter than Tall Midget. You sure know how to take the wind out of a guy's sails, Dr. |

Sorry Midget. After rereading, it did seem harsh. If it's any consolation, I honestly believe that you are definitely smarter than Mike North. I want to be clear on that point. |

I was cracking up the other day when the camera did a freeze frame on a Ben Wallace dunk...and Stacey used the telestrator to autograph Ben's name like a poster. |
